Bill O'Reilly and Obama Discuss the Super Bowl, and Also Boring Stuff (Fox Video)
Fox Via Gawker ^ | February 6, 2011 | Staff

Bill O'Reilly interviewed Obama on Fox News a few minutes ago. The discussion ranged from football, to football, to football, to football. They even talked a little about football. No, actually, they talked about health care, too.

This was basically Fox News' answer to Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl, except instead of pre-Super Bowl entertainment for babies and teen girls, it was for political nerds. Nothing about the interview really stuck out—it was clear that Obama and O'Reilly both just wanted to get out of there and start watching the game.

But it was fun! O'Reilly began by thanking Obama for the State Department's role in getting a couple of Fox reporters out of Cairo, which was nice of him. Later, he asked Obama if he had "moved to the center" in recent months, which is about the dumbest question you could possibly ask a sitting president. Obama said he was focused on making sure the economy is growing. Also, he explained why "there's nothing socialist" about the health care bill, in what was the most direct rebuke of O'Reilly's nightly rantings. Then O'Reilly asked how Obama felt about the fact that so many Americans hate him, and it almost seemed like boasting.

Eventually the discussion turned to football, which, of course, is why God made Super Bowl Sunday. Obama refused to pick a side because "my Bears" weren't in the game. But by that time, hardly anyone was watching because it was time to begin stirring the giant vats of guacamole and arranging the Pringles just so.

Also, he explained why "there's nothing socialist" about the health care bill

Did O'Reilly challenge that lie?

The people of the USA neeed to do two (2) things immediately, force POTUS Barack Hussein Obama to resign and stop watching FNC & Bill O’Reilly (The O’Reilly factor) until FNC brooms Bill O”Reilly!!!

Yep. O’Reilly classic example of how they build up these “personalities” with a little faux conservatism, but they’re fundamentally “down with the program”.

I’m surprised the combined forces of their egos didn’t create a massive black hole.

That’s what I was thinking? Why before the Super Bowl? Dumb. Really dumb. I intentionally made sure not to watch it. I didn’t want my blood pressure skyrocketing BEFORE the Super Bowl. LOL!

I accidentally watched it.

I tried doing a "Scanners" to make O'Replay ask about the birth certificate.

Fail.

Today is a good day to die.
I didn't say for whom.

I didn't watch it. This was O'Reilly's reward for going easy on Obama the last two years--he always seems to tone down criticism because he didn't want to lose his chance to get another interview (after the one he had in 2008).

Wasn't it on Super Bowl Sunday when Bill and Hillary appeared on Sixty Minutes to lie about Gennifer Flowers?

Time for FoxNews to get rid of Geraldo and O’Reilly. Bring in Laura Ingraham and Ann Coulter.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Please don't! These two have been despicable in their coverage of Obama’s eligibility. Shame on them both!

Surely there is talent out there if they put in a smidgen effort.

Typical BOR interview. It figured it was dull, boring, gutless, and pointless.

I couldn’t bear to watch the two balloon heads. I suppose BOR thinks he had some sort of Edward R. Murrow moment. Gads, the man is deluded.
