Mt. Davis is the highest point in Pennsylvania at 3213 feet. It is part of Negro Mountain.
Yeah, I know, 3213 is not really a “mountain,” but it’s the best we got here in Pa.

looked it up here. Negro Mountain at 3075' is actually the second highest mountain in Maryland. It is part of the same range but not the same mountain as Mt. Davis, the highest point in Pennsylvania at 3213'. And yes, markers on I-68, pass along both Negro Mountain and Polish Mountain.
The highest point in Maryland is the peak of Backbone Mountain at 3360', located at the SW crook of where Maryland's panhandle juts into West Virginia.
So, yeah, Maryland actually has a higher "mountain" than Pennsylvania, but we have a lot more of them.
