I agree that in many ways SF is a terrible place for conservatives to live.
However, I view living in SF as a challenge. I view living in this city as an opportunity to educate, to confront.
Far, far too many people who live in this very beautiful but very broken city are never forced to listen to the views of conservatives. Those conservatives views that are heard are denigrated or dismissed out of hand.
My role is to refuse to be dismissed, to force the Lefties/Greenies to listen to me or at least to acknowledge that other views exist.
I do this because I believe that it makes little sense to preach to the converted. I don't expect to be very successful but I will be heard.

I made it all the way through her list and I have to agree with her final point. The more quickly we abandon these blue states, the faster they will collapse. It’s time to let it happen. Quit propping them up in the name of “opportunities to educate.” The sooner it fails and collapses, the faster we will be able to swoop in and rebuild.

Amazingly, I was at the mall on 19th and ran into the local rep for the NRA. I was totally shocked.

Good for you! It is harder to think of conservatives in some ridiculous caricature if you actually know a conservative.
