Up here you can usually get 10% for cash for almost anything, there are a lot of suppliers for almost any commodity our tax laws are very lax.

I was rather surprised when they offered a discount never got one in Mass, maybe you are supporting the po folks, if you are in a co-op there should be an annual report for the members and a distribution of profits.
