excellent if chilling article.
What amazing me is one would think media of all groups would rush to point out how women are treated under sharia.
but not a peep by any USA or western media
That should disturb us all.
and no one mentions what sharia law dictates for homosexuals.
There are plenty of cries of hatred for any who think marriage is between and man and a woman
and now cries against sharia which calls for gays to be killed.
stunning really
Very telling indeed. We’re not heading in a good direction.
The photo essay is excellent.
Sadly, we have to support the lesser evil here. Right now, that's Mubarak.
Unless: a figure emerges, who currently is firm and ruthless, but will eventually step aside for truly free elections in a couple of years. This figure probably would be Christian. Fat chance.
That figure has not emerged. Mubarak is the lesser of the evils, the devil you know.
This will end the same a Russia did with the Bolshivicks (a radical minority) running things, and Iran did with Mullahs.
saw this exact same thing in Iran..1979.
Another reminder that freedom is not free...
My reading of these photos suggests that Egyptian women have already been Islamified. Whether they have done so to please their loving (or abusive) families or a favorite mullah, whether it was peer pressure from girlhood on that did it; or whether it was the teachings of the Muslim Brotherhood being preached in every mosque, on every media channel, and in school that did it, the fact is:It is done. Women are veiled. Such womenand their fathers, brothers, husbands, and sons, will vote for the Muslim Brotherhood to run their country.
She might have a point. It would be interesting to look through a more extensive set of pictures of the rallies to see if most of the women were indeed covered in Islamic garb.
Dr. Chesler is absolutely right. When you see the relaxed, free looking women of the 1970s photos and compare them to the shrouded bags of laundry of the 2000’s, you can see how far Islamicization has progressed, particularly in the last few years. They will most certainly vote in the MB, and then there will be no escape.
Islamist elections:
One man, one vote, one time. Once they’re in, no more open elections’ll be held.
thanks for posting. The key section I take away from her research is this paragraph:
“Fifty nine percent said they back Islamists. Only 27% said they back modernizers. Half of Egyptians support Hamas. Thirty percent support Hizbullah and 20% support al Qaida. Moreover, 95% of them would welcome Islamic influence over their politics .Eighty two percent of Egyptians support executing adulterers by stoning, 77% support whipping and cutting the hands off thieves. 84% support executing any Muslim who changes his religion When this preference is translated into actual government policy, it is clear that the Islam they support is the al Qaida Salafist version.”
