So much for counting on the Egyptian military to control the outcome.
Or, does the military have something working in the background?

It was pointed out by another FReeper that the MB is buckling to agree to talks now after adamantly refusing before. They might realize that their plans are going to pot and that they better get on board or the train will leave without them. So, it may mean that, at least so far, Mubarak is winning.

Does anyone with an IQ of over 17 not realize that this whole thing is simply a “democracy” scam to install Islamic jihadists in power in Egypt, Jordan, Yemen and elsewhere?

So much for counting on the Egyptian military to control the outcome. the Turkish military used to be the bulwalk defending Ataturk's secular democratic dream and preventing an Islamic Republic. But they have failed in recent years as Turkey has gone off a cliff. Looks like Egypt will follow. There is no point in sugarcoating it: Islam is ascendant, and wants to rule, and will have to be confronted openly and directly. Bush put this off with his naive "religion of peace" and Wolfowitz' "Arab democracy" garbage.

Exactly where does it say in the BS-BBC article that the Mubarak government is going to meet with the Brotherhood?
Looks to me like only one side is announcing the get-together.
Maybe I missed something.
