DENVER -- A Centennial-based organization has canceled an up coming charity event featuring Sarah Palin, citing safety concerns.
The Sharon K Pacheco Foundation announced Saturday that the 2011 Patriots & Warriors Charity Gala scheduled for May 2 would not be held.
"Due to an onslaught of personal attacks against Governor Palin and others associated with her appearance, it is with deep sadness and disappointment that, in the best interest of all, we cancel the event for safety concerns," said the Foundation's Director.

When did you check the ticket prices?
Sounds like they “dis-invited” her and are using the safety concerns as a cover. It’d be interesting to hear HER side.
I meant muzzle, to restrain from speech.
Please. The dinner was three months away. Tickets go on sale two weeks ago and they have a fire sale on one the hottest fundraisers in the country, Sarah Palin? I’m not buying this.
>> “Im a cynic, so flame away...” <<

You’re being generous to your reputation here...
Yes, they should....unless they are the culprits.
Perhaps I’m missing something, but it looks to me that this boils down to one of 2 things.
Either Sharon K Pacheco, representing the entire SKP Foundation, are cowards or this is just another lib dirty trick.
I look forward to leaning more about all of this.
>> “I’m guessing that Ms. Palin’s and/or the other speakers’ boilerplate contracts contain significant security requirements .... and this group can’t afford it.” <<

Or even possibly they had been overly optimistic about Palin signing on. A number of orgs here locally have tried to set up Palin events, with no success.
Who has even heard of “The Sharon K Pacheco Foundation?”
Colorado suffers from an annual plague of what are called ‘trustafarians’ - rich kids with trust funds who sport dreadlocks and panhandle for the summer, or whenever the weather’s nice for it. Check out Boulder. You’d think they’d be peaceful by their affected styles, but what rabble ever has been?
BIngo!
Palin and her supporters need to call on POTUS OBama to denounce these attacks by his supporters on his political opponents. We need to make the political price for this kind of brownshirting very very high.
Not me. Their website is here. Looks like their hearts are in the right place, but it's hard to tell what sort of organization they really are.
I just wrote a note to this foundation expressing my dismay that they let the Lefts small group of professional thugs intimidate them.

The left brownshirts people and you try to turn the tables and make it Palin’s fault? That is disgusting.
If anything look at the date and understand what else is on that date for your answer.
Stormer is on to something, this thing unraveled in the last three days, check the most recent posts on the facebook page, those concerning the ticket prices...

Another thing, only 73 friends on Facebook and they started up there last May?
This stinks to high heaven. Looks like Sarah might have put her heart before her head on this one. Hope I’m wrong about that, but there’s no doubt about her love for our troops, so somebody needed to vet this group for her.
Yeah becaus ethey would drop the ticket prices in Jan for an event held in MAY.....gotcha...
Excuuuuuse me, Leo baby (and I do mean baby). Our military members and their families are a helluva lot more stable emotionally than you & your fellow mamby-pamby mealy-mouthed thumbsuckers who run for cover at the first sign of discord.
If anything will affect their emotional state, it's canceling the charity gala they've been looking forward to for months, and then holding them up to national ridicule by saying you're forced to do it to protect their poor delicate psychies. Our military and their families have more bravery in their little pinkies that you and your cronies have in your entire yellow lily-livered bodies.
The “Community Organizer” thugs won on silencing Bristol at that university in St.Louis too. They are on a roll now.
