Democrats coordinate health messaging
Politico ^ | Feb 4, 2011 | JENNIFER HABERKORN |

Several top Democratic strategists are in the early stages of forming a new initiative to coordinate messaging in support of health care reform, POLITICO has learned.

The messaging effort is designed to counter the Republican momentum to repeal or undermine the health care law.

The efforts are in the early stages, according to several sources familiar with the matter, so few concrete details were available, but it will be a public relations initiative focused on the benefits of the law and what repeal would mean for those benefits.

It's NOT "the messaging", it's the policy that is the problem.

The Dems are still trying to con the American people...just hope people are smarter than to fall for it.

The Health Care Repeal Chorus Grows Louder by Sen John Thune

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/02/04/the_health_care_repeal_chorus_grows_louder_108771.html

“But the people are not stupid. They know a bad idea when they see one, and to them this law was simply a bad idea. That is why public opinion has not shifted the Administration’s way. One recent Rasmussen poll, for instance, found that 58 percent of registered voters favor repealing the law, the exact same percentage as last April. “

***NEWS FLASH TO DEMS*** : that horse is not only out of the barn, it died of old age in a pasture two counties over, and now you want to try to close the barn door. Keep swingin' away, dumb asses.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Well, here’s the ‘message’ I just received from a relative who’s a teamster pushing single payer:

“This was passed on to me by a friend who works for American Cancer Society. It is put together by Kaiser Family Foundation and is the best and most concise explanation of the law as it currently stands. No matter what your opinion of the bill is, please take the time (approximately nine minutes) to watch this. It is very well done.”

The Democrats have been trying to sell the American people on the alleged “benefits” of their health care law for a year now. Americans said “NO” in November and they still are not listening! Such arrogant political tone deafness is extra-ordinary for a party that received a massive shellacking in November. If they keep this fight up, they will have another political bloodbath on their hands.

Which goes to show the Republicans are not the only Stupid Party in Washington. The Democrats now take the prize for it and even the RINOs are all opposed to Obamacare! That’s how bad it was as a law.

Funny the unions pushing obamacare, while they are the ones asking for an getting most of the waivers...

” Now we learn that the number of healthcare exemptions has climbed to 733 covering 2,189,636 workers.

And who are among the fortunate few? The list includes four states, several cities and a whole lot of unions; most prominently the Service Employees International Union, SEIU. Do you remember the SEIU? The president of the union, Andy Stern, was the most frequent guest at the White House in 2008 and the SEIU contributed $27 million to President Obama’s campaign efforts.

With 40 percent of the healthcare exemptions going to union members who make up only 10 percent of workers, it is apparent that they are receiving special treatment.”

If the unions don’t like it, why it is good enough for the rest of us? The Democrats haven’t explained why their political allies don’t have to obey the law but the rest of us do!

I think it’s because we didn’t contribute to Obama’s campaign and are not about to start now. ;)

"The messaging effort is designed to counter the Republican momentum to repeal or undermine the health care law"

ROFL

You mean the Law that was found to be un-Constitutional by a Federal Court, and continues to be implemented because the taking of wealth from some is necessary in 2011 to keep the freebies flowing, while the "benefits" don't kick in until 2014? THAT effort?

What SHOULD happen immediately is for the Federal Courts to find the White House in Contempt, and jail the bastards.

“It’s NOT “the messaging”, it’s the policy that is the problem. “

Of course, but typically when the Dems get a coordinated message together, the Republicans are TOO STUPID to coordinate a response and they walloped.
