Mass. RINOs under fire
The Boston Herald ^ | 2011-01-30

(snip)

A Facebook page called “Massachusetts RINO Hunt” is dedicated to “the aggressive and immediate removal of all RINO’s from the Republican Party of Massachusetts.” The page’s logo is a red, white and blue rhinoceros shaped like the GOP elephant in crosshairs.

Comments on the page include one follower saying, “Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock,” and another spouting, “Locked and Loaded!”

The page’s mission statement reads: “Massachusetts is having a good ole fashioned ‘RINO Hunt.’ That’s right! Conservatives of the Commonwealth are tired of having their Party defined by a bumbling herd of RINO’s!”

There is a posting targeting former Gov. Mitt Romney as “the father of socialized health care,” while another poster says “the entire Mass GOP leadership is made up of RINOs,” including Sen. Scott Brown and party chair Jennifer Nassour. Brown and Romney declined to comment. The state GOP also declined comment.

Every vote counts. The margin in the Senate is very close. There are no moderate Democratic Senators. I find it interesting Freepers bad mouth Brown more than they are upset with Democrats who voted to keep an unconstitutional law on the books.

Moderate Republicans are one thing (those that vote from 50-75% with us), but when people claiming an “R” label vote against the Conservative agenda between 75-90% of the time (as the Maine Twins and now-Gov. Chafee did in the Senate), they aren’t on our side. Democrats would cut loose people that voted similarly against their own agenda at such a percentage. None of them vote less than 60% of the time with the party, and that is a rare few that don’t vote in the 80%+ range. Far, far less dissent. We should be just as tough with enforcing discipline, or they can hit the bricks.

I hope Brown gets his azz handed to him. He campaigned a fiscal conservative and has voted with Dems on a majority of the major spending bills.

Yeah but think who would replace them and they will NEVER vote for any conservative measure. The Weak Sisters can be persuaded to see things our way - the Democrats will never be.

“We should be just as tough with enforcing discipline, or they can hit the bricks.”

My FRiend, in the past, I have written about the importance of discipline and I was accused of wanting to run the GOP “like the Mafia”.

My response is this: If running the Party like the Mafia is what it will take to reverse the course this country has been put on, DO IT NOW!!!

So then in your election of the imagination no other Conservatives are running, therefore we would be voting for a Socialist Democrat?

My point is the RINO’s have to go period. RINO’s are the Left, and they are performing the duty of disinforming the voting public about Conservatism, and distorting the record of Republicanism.

I see no reason a Conservative cannot challenge a RINO to represent the people.

If you can find one, I’d vote for a conservative but I will never vote for a Democrat.

The enemy of the good is the pursuit of the perfect. I’d rather have someone who votes with us 80% of the time than someone who votes with us 0% of the time.

I'd rather have two people shooting while they're facing me than one person shooting me in the back.

Brown doesn’t have a chance to get back in,anyway. His being elected was a once-in-a-lifetime-fluke,fueled mainly over fears of Obamacare...which the dems got passed even after they lost the filibuster-proof majority. So the main thing he was elected for he was made irrelevant over!

As far as catering to the gay vote, the GOP better take a look at what happened in Massachusetts this November, when their own chairman vowed to abandon the fight against same-sex “marriage” and other social issues, and the GOP got slaughtered here....in spite of running a candidate for governor that was just as pro-gay as Deval Patrick, and an open homosexual for Lt.Governor!

GOP! You will NOT get the gay vote no matter what!
...But there ARE conservatives that WILL vote for you if you just.....come...back....to...US!

So would I. The problem is that the RINOs vote against us 80 percent of the time.

If Brown ran as a squishy RINO that would be one thing. I’d ignore him like the rest of the RINOs and be thankful for the seat (I know a Mass GOPer is a bonus). But he ran as a hardcore Tea Party type fiscal conservative.

And then as soon as he was elected started with his mealy mouth crossing the aisle talk, immediately voting for Obama’s 15 billion “jobs” bill (only 1 of 4 Repubs). And then topping it off with a YES vote on the massive Frank/Dodd FinReg bill, again only 1 of 4 GOP votes.

That is my personal angst with Brown. He’s a phony.

By doing that Brown did himself no favors and if he was giving the finger to social conservatives, the message was recieved

We can argue about moderate Republicans but don’t kid yourselves: if you vote against them, you’re voting for a socialist Democrat ...

Don't kid yourself: when you vote FOR big government moderate Republicans, you're ensuring the continued trend toward the left of the GOP. I did it myself for years based on the same rationale you state here, but I finally wised up with Schwarzenegger. I finally realized that failing to vote against big government "moderate" Republicans is fulfilling Einstein's definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result.

Brown screwed everyone who voted for him.

Brown supported Frank’s bill, and then gave the
Russians the UK secret nuclear info.

Benedict Brown is not only a traitor to conservatives,
but is possibly now caught up in Obama’s treason.
Therefore, Brown will cover that up, too;
and can NEVER be trusted again.

If you get raped by a stranger, it's bad. If you get raped by your father, it's something different altogether.
