With Verizon Wireless preparing to offer Apples (AAPL) iPhone starting Feb. 10, the news media have focused most of their attention on AT&T (T) iPhone users who might switch to Verizon.
But a new survey shows an even bigger percentage of switchers to the Verizon iPhone coming from Verizon BlackBerry and Android users.
A survey by uSamp found that 26% of current AT&T cell phone users are likely to switch to Verizon when it begins offering the iPhone.

THINK MY ANDROID RUNS CIRCLES AROUND THE IPHONE....
My company B-berry gives me the worst of both worlds: Microsoft Outlook and AT&T.
Thankfully, the AT&T experience gave me the resolution to wait until Apple migrated to a decent carrier.
They’ve done it and I’m in.
(Now, if I could only get my company to ditch Microsoft’s revenge on the productive world, (Outlook) , I’d be a happy camper.)
I was reading the other day that Android is better than the iPhone. How so? Or not so?
Duh....anyone listening at ma verizon?
Duh....anyone listening at ma verizon?
I jumped on yesterday, pre ordering the iphone to replace my Blackberry Storm. The storm was a huge disappointment for me, limited apps, and having to reboot it all the time. And the only way to re boot is by taking out the battery. No thanks.
I’m gonna wait til the 9th to order mine. I have the “New every two” so I would get 50 bucks off the iPhone..but damn the monthly payment is what stopped me from ordering it yesterday..I pay right now 38.50 per month for 450 min + 250 text messages, that plus the 29.99 data package and Im looking at a little over 60 bucks a month..I don’t think I can cough up that kind of cash per month, wish there was a lower plan but its not looking that way
Maybe this article from a national market research firm might help you answer that question:
Bloodbath: 54% of Verizons Android, BlackBerry users likely to upgrade to iPhone on day one

Verizon seems expensive but the service is great. Some holes in coverage, but not as many as AT&T. I pay 180 for 2 phones and an air card. Happy that apple saw the light and got a decent carrier.
I agree. I was tempted to trade to an iPhone now that Verizon has it (especially as my work phone is a BlackBerry and my personal Droid is just for fun) but the Droids really kick. I’m trying to decide my next between a Samsung Fascinate and a Droid X.
I don't know about Droids or BlackBerries, but I know at least with iPhones, it isn't up to the carrier but the manufacturer. I do think that Verizon didn't add in the rooting 'kill switch' to the Droids that other carriers had.
It really depends on what you want. I think iPhones are so popular because they are so easy to use and sync so well with iTunes. Droids are for Geeks like me that like to really customize stuff. For example, I just downloaded a mobile version of Bit Torrent and can download free movies off of the web. It is more complicated than the iPhone 1 click to do anything, but if you are a gadget geek, Droids are the way to go.
My Droid was perfect until Verizon turned on LTE. My
3g service was great before Dec 5th. Now it drops
out or falls back to 1xRTT often. I can’t stream my
favorite radio stations anymore. They stall and
stutter as the 3g falls back to 1x. That’s the same
network that is about to get mugged by all the new
iPhone users. My Droid is eligible for upgrade on
July 13th. I’ll be looking for an LTE based phone
running Android. I want to get off the flaky 3g. An
iPhone isn’t a solution for that problem.
maybe AT&T sucks just as bad, but good luck to all you folks who are about to enter the hell of Verizon “customer service”.
Brother...
And when we see that Androids growth is still at 508% again, it will onto hoping the iPhone5 does it.

Yeah I have been VERY happy with Verizon, I was one of those who said they would be first in line to get this thing, but the monthly fee for me is kinda steep, at least for me since I am the majority of the time home so I don’t need constant internet coverage on the iPhone..don’t know how to make the bill lower..I used to have 300 minutes a month which was 34.99 so saving 5 bucks additionally is better then nothing. When it comes out officially on the 9th I will go to the store and see what can be done to lower the bill since I really want this thing
It’s actually a less expensive monthly payment than what I’ve got with AT&T. I am also a Verizon customer from way back. The only reason I have AT&T is because of the iphone. I can’t stand AT&T.
