I can only imagine why Sarah would do this (only protecting her and her family from the onslaught abuse), but your explanation fits the bill.

As well as using her as propaganda, etc. I think she is well ahead of anyone on our side.....which gives me hope that she will run in 2012.

In my dreams, she is setting herself up for some protection when she finally does announce. Again, my dream, but this kind of gives me a "wink wink" into her planned future (again, my dream).

You can’t be serious. Satire is protected and unaffected by trademarks. SNL will continue to chug along mockingly with or without trademarks. A great many hollywood names have been trademarked, but that does NOT insulate them from satire or mockery.
