Ron Reagan: Palin has nothing in common with dad

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Sarah Palin is honoring one Reagan and offending another with the same speech.

The former Alaska governor is scheduled to speak in Santa Barbara, Calif., on Friday at a tribute to former President Ronald Reagan — just one of the celebrations marking the centennial of the 40th president's birth on Feb. 6.

But his son, Ron Reagan, tells The Associated Press he doesn't see anything in common between his dad and the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, who was invited to speak by the event's sponsor, the conservative Young America's Foundation.

"Sarah Palin is a soap opera, basically. She's doing mostly what she does to make money and keep her name in the news," Reagan says.

"She is not a serious candidate for president and never has been," said Reagan, a political independent whose politics lean left.

From what I’m beginning to understand, neither does Ron Reagan.

Ron is nothing like his father which is well evidenced. In fact, I would say he’s an embarrassment to his family including his father and his memory.

He should know.

Boys who dance the ballet have nothing in common with Ronald Reagan.

That Ron is such a nancy!

Why can't I shake the suspicion, that somewhere there is a much taller, better looking and more intelligent man, born at the same hospital,

Yes, there was... always wondered what happened to him...

What it is we look for is what we see.

If we look for some form of not being perfect ... we find it. Jesus was criticized. It was not true. To criticize is easy. Jesus lived a perfect life.

When we look for good in a person ... it is there. In Sarah Palin’s case ... an unusual amount of good. Not perfect. GOOD!

She is a terrific communicator. She has character, she is honest, she stands against big government, for family values, against abortion, for conservative principles,
she is very smart, she knows America must drill of our own oil. Everyone is Washington makes huge monies. She is earning money like anyone else, that writes books, appears on television and like Clinton gives many speeches.

You Ron are showing your own ignorance. It is a moot point. Michael sees much of your Dad and his Dad in Sarah so get over your Ronald Reagan was a conservative Republican. Shame on anyone tearing down Ronald Reagan's record and beliefs.

Ron and Patty are not conservatives. Liberals are about ling to win. Whatever it takes to win, they do. Dishonest, Illegal, or total criminal activity. All in the name of winning. They lose.

Guess, as a boy, Ronnie got kicked in the head by one of those Missouri elk when they were making the commercial.

Ron bears no resemblance to his dad. Thank God for Michael, however.

Wrong, Ronnie boy. Unlike you, both your Dad and Gov. Palin are heterosexual.

At fist I though this was a statement about Ron the nancy boy:

“She’s doing mostly what she does to make money and keep her name in the news”

Ronaldus Magnus and The Sarahcuda both got their start in sports broadcasting. Neither of them were ever ballerinas. Sorry, Ron. Please don’t take your own insecurities out on others. That’s what your therapist is for.

Q: What do Ron, Jr. and Sarah Palin have in common?

A: Neither will be mistaken for a man.

The poofter has problems and it's a true shame that he has the need and desire to make them public at the expense of his revered father while trying to enrich himself.

He's worse than disgraceful. President Reagan doesn't deserve the spewings of this hateful son.

Governor Sarah Palin will probably consider the source and pity him. Heck, she'll likely pray for him, but I won't.

I would be very surprised and even extremely worried if Ron Reagan endorsed Sarah Palin.

Look, if Ronnie jr is without his name, who else pays attention to him?

What Palin has done so far, agreeing or not, she’s done it on her own.

‘Nuff said.

Michael Reagan and Sarah Palin , both have more in common with Ronald Reagan than does the little homo ballet dancer that looks like Frank Sinatra’s son.
