This is a communist revolution on Egypt. It needs to be squashed without mercy.

Obamas call for Mubark to leave the country right now is an attempt to get the Muslim Brotherhood in power. Obama wants them to win.

The Executive Branch and silent Senate of the United States
of America are helping to destroy America’s past ally.

Worse than disgusting.

It's way too late for that. Transition should have started before the uprising began.

Just a minute ago the had David Vitter reporting on the “peaceful protesters” at the same time there was a effigy of Mubarak hanging showing on the screen.

Yes. It appears pretty obvious now that Obama is about as anti-Israel as one can be. Whether or not he is himself Islamic is unclear to me, but his sympathies most definitely lie with the Islamists.

Transition? Hah. Time to roll in the tanks Tienamen Square style. If it’s good enough for one ally it ought to be good enough for another.

Why would you say that?

Because Mubarak has lost the support of the populace and his support among the army seems to be tenuous at best. Things are moving too fast to allow for an orderly transition, people want him out now. If he'd said a year ago that he's 80-odd years old and it's time to turn the reins over to a younger man then none of this would be happening. It's a classic case of someone trying to hang on to power too long.

So under what circumstances would you roll the tanks here?

O wasn’t counting on Saudi Arabia’s reaction to his betrayal of Mubarak.

Jimmy Carter was a useful idiot, O is a willing conspirator in the effort to put the muslim brotherhood in power.

Count yourself among the useful idiots in the Square.

Leaving now gives the ‘brotherhood’ ascension to power.

Is that your ideal result for Egypt and the rest of the middle east?

Just asking?

No way. As in the US, the Army is loyal to the President.

Furthermore, those in the street are not Egyptians, anyway,
for the most part. They are imported, and incited by
non-Egyptians. The Egyptians are defending their homes
from the released, some captured, criminals let loose
last Saturday.

This is a case of interference from outside to destroy
America and its allies.

It needs to be squashed without mercy.

Egypt has an Interior Ministry with 1.7 million employees, including 400,000 secret police.

So, it's not an exaggeration to say too much squashing already is what got Egypt to this point. A government that has to waste that many resources just to keep its people under control is living on borrowed time.

“...none of this would be happening.”

Maybe this exact thing wouldn’t be happening, but, something would. This mess isn’t just an accident of an old tyrant hanging on. It was well planned and will not be pretty.

Bingo. The military should be encouraged to put up a successor and then crush any Islamists in the protest groups.
