Why Palin snubbed CPAC — again
politico ^ | 2/3/11 | ANDY BARR

Posted on 02/03/2011 7:32:03 PM PST by Nachum

The news that Sarah Palin won’t be attending CPAC next week doesn’t come as much surprise. For those keeping score, she’s now been invited three times — and said no thanks each time.

A Palin aide did not immediately return a request to explain why, but her reasoning is pretty evident. Continue Reading

A Palin source bashed CPAC and its leader David Keene in an interview last year with POLITICO announcing that the former governor wouldn’t be attending – even though CPAC had listed her as an invited guest for the second year in a row. The source called the annual gathering an example "special interests over core beliefs" and "pocketbook over policy."

"That's not what CPAC should be about and people are tiring," the source said. "Palin is taking a stance against this just as she did in Alaska."

The criticism of CPAC was fueled by a report that David Keene, president of the American Conservative Union, had asked FedEx for between $2 million and $3 million to get the group's support in a bitter battle on Capitol Hill with rival UPS. This was not the first reported allegation of Keene selling his influence with the conservative base, and is a large part of the reason why the ACU and its annual conference have waned in influence over the years.

Perhaps she is skipping it for the same reason I am, after many years of attendance: because the ACU has been infiltrated—willingly—by the Muslim Brotherhood. No thanks.

She’d get a standing ovation from the poofers for her retweet of Tammy Bruces pro-repeal comment on DADT. She should go.

He and Grover Norquist are scumbags and have tainted CPAC beyond repair.

We need to move beyond, Tea party Folks need to do their own thing in support of Candidates and causes.

K Street is out of control and needs to be shut down monetarily.

CPAC’s gonna have muzzies and queers holding hands under the big Mitt tent.

Doesn’t sound too conservative to me.

Sarah Palin has a point. The CPAC has become a cesspool of gay rights, jihad supporters (Norquist), and corruption (Keene).

There is no great crime in not supporting them.

As the Tea Party gets stronger in the House and Senate this CPAC will go down the Michael Steele road. Also known as RINO Railroad.

Not really ~ the RNC WENT down the RINO road when they picked this Preibus guy ~ his first hire was Gillespie. Gillespie was a big buddy to Ken Mehlman ~ our former RNC Chairman who finally made a public announcement about his "gayness"!

That's what's wrong with this group ~ they're letting the homosexual lobby set their agenda and take over the operation of the convention.

Let me say this about that, if you people continue to let the infiltration of formal conservative groups and the RNC and it's agencies continue YOU WILL LOSE 2012 LIKE YOU'VE NEVER LOST IN HISTORY!

The American people will not tolerate homosexual activists in positions of authority in the Republican party.

Now, what were you saying about getting rid of Mr. Steele? You thought that was some kind of victory? Or, your eyes were closed when you got in the closet with that masked man?

Get real!

That’s because you have optical rectitis. That’s when your eyeballs get crossed up with your hind end and you get a crappy outlook on life.
