For more than a week, Zaki Abdel-Aziz had been out of work and nearly out of money, joining millions of Egyptians living more on hope than cash as the capital plunged into chaos and the economy ground to a virtual halt.
His wife and three children were hungry, tired and tense. There was just over $17 (100 pounds) in their apartment, and no way to borrow more. Then a chilling call came Tuesday night.
"The guy asked me, 'Zaki, you haven't worked for a week, right? You don't have money?'" Abdel-Aziz, 45, recalled. "He said, 'Come out tomorrow and you'll get 100 pounds and a bag of food. All you have to do is join us against those traitors in Tahrir."

Yeah, I’ve seen history get revised but not last weeks news!
Talk about brazen propaganda!
Now Shep making comparisons to the American revolution. Apparently Jefferson, Franklin, and Washington were our version of the muslim brotherhood.
I realize that Mubarak is a dictator and no angel but I’ve watched this with my own two eyes and can’t simply rewrite history I’ve seen play out with my own two eyes.
I didn’t realize that the judge was such a tool.
Ben Bernake and the fraud Federal Reserve money printing is also to blame. The printing presses have caused major food inflation in China, Egypt and other countries.
In addition, Egypt buys most of it’s wheat from Russia and Russia had weather issues and is not exporting this year. Ditto Australia with floods.
I no longer throw stones at other countries. When a supposedly advanced country with 5% unemployment elects a muslim 7 years after 9/11 who’s goal is to destroy America then this country and it’s people have a major flaw.
I did not know you had unrest in your country?
Everytime leftists get violent here they blame it on the government or the right.
“Egyptian Democracy”
???
When was that?
LOL...did you see him reading the DOE?
Judge Napolitano kind of surprised me too, I guess you’re right about the memo going out.
If I were a betting man, I’d throw a $20.00 down that it is the MB beating these reporters up, seems like a 50/50 bet to me.
And there it is.
Now they aren’t sure if Mubarak is behind it.
Oops...DOE = DOI
Fox needs to shut shep up and they need to do it now. The crap he is spewing is dangerous. Is he crazy??? He is going on and on with no proof of anything he is saying, just like he did with katrina. I can’t believe this.
Agreed.
Right now there is no way in h*ll to tell the good guys from the bad guys. All that is happening is that the 0bama/islamist people are pushing for immediate transition to the MB and the MB is fighting to make it happen. Mubarak is doing his dirty best to keep that from happening.
Right now I back Mubarak, even knowing what that means in terms of what is necessary to put this revolution down and see the country through to elections in September.
0bama made this much, much messier than it needed to be.
LOL....Yeah I wish Foxnews would just shut him up...
Hmmmm, where was that kind of talk when we went into Iraq?
This would be one reason why I wouldn’t participate. With everyone rioting, who is working? Who is planting, watering, harvest, delivering, etc? Then you starve.
Once again proving socialist government does not serve the people and it fails everytime it is tried. And yet Obama and the Democrats want the same kind of government here in the USA and they are positive that it will work great here because they are elitists and know what is best for the rest of us.
Correct. Feeding of the five thousand comes to mind. People are more apt to listen on a full stomach than on an empty stomach.
Agreed. There needs to be a grassroots effort to flood Fox with messages to jetison Shep. He sux bigtime. Put John Roberts in for him.
