So much for objectivity. One of the FCC stipulations of the Comcast NBCU merger was the incorporation of non-profit journalism centers into NBC newsrooms. They are charged with maintaining and increasing local news coverage, the regulation based on the relationship between KNSD-TV and VoiceofSanDiego.org.
KNSD airs the segments, but really cant take all the credit for them. They are largely the work ofVoiceOfSanDiego.org, a local nonprofit journalism center that has been sharing news tips, co-producing and supplying content to the station for several years.
[...]
Under the terms of the FCC order approving Comcasts takeover of NBCU, at least half of NBCs 10 O&Os have to find a nonprofit news center with which to work within the next year. The order cites the KNSD-VoiceOfSanDiego.org alliance as the model for what it would like to see in other NBC markets.
Proponents of the growing nonprofit news movement are hoping that NBCs FCC-mandated efforts will bear fruit and encourage other commercial TV stations to seek out nonprofit partners.
Theres just one problem with this: Voice of San Diego is a member of INN (Investigative News Network) which is funded by the Open Society Institute, the URL of which is www.soros.org. Yes, these non-profit journalism centers are funded by George Soros.

Well NBC News and profits are not mutual terms.
Is Beck on top of this?

Saddened.
But not surprised.
“Soros-Funded Non-Profits”
Not just Soros-Funded. Soros-designed, Soros-started, Soros-owned-lock-stock-&-barrel.
There was a story about this a few months ago. It was played up as a purely NPR thing.
This administration must be stopped.
And they complain about Fox News and talk radio? Is this even legal?
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press...It seems to me that the media should be free to do this, or not do this, of their own accord. The government cannot force the media to operate with a preferred outlet or lose their business.

Is that not an unconstitutional requirement, violating the First Amendment, abridging the Freedom of the Press?
So let’s create non-profit conservative news agencies that they can then partner with...:`)

————Isn’t that the neatest thing, congress didn’t..
And they also complain about Charles and David Koch - who, if the tables were turned, would have no part of the deal.
The “Institutionalisation and Legitimisation” of the “Ministry of Nu-Truth”.
I don’t think it can be called a “movement” if its mandated by government. Yes, they are even more leftist biased.
Dinosaur media deathwatch?
If he'd just start a “religious” organization, he'd have all four covered.
Oops; he also funds some Leftist/"Progressive" religious groups. Make that 4 for 4.
*Politics, Financial, Educational, Religious
Yea, I’m sure that NBC wants to hook up with... World Net Daily? Human Events?
...

Why would the FCC have to “order” NBC to buddy up with Soros? They’ve been doing it eagerly for many years.
