After skipping the popular Conservative Political Action Conference for the past three years, Sarah Palin has once again turned down the invitation of CPAC officials to address the conference this year.
CPAC organizers invited Palin to deliver the closing-night keynote speech on Saturday Feb. 12, immediately following the announcement of the results of CPACs annual presidential straw poll, but after several days of negotiations, she declined.
Were disappointed that she wasnt able to make it this year, American Conservative Union Chairman David Keene said through a spokesman on Thursday. He noted that Palin "expressed interest in wanting to come this year," but said that it came down to "a scheduling issue."

Sarah can raise more money than CPAC and the RNC combined, and they know it.
It's why the GOP ruling class hates her.

What’s wrong with CPAC? Didn’t Rush keynote there 2 or 3 years ago?

Good job, Governor Palin.
CPAC trying to paint this as a scheduling conflict is a tranparent face-saving maneuver. Yeah, I can just hear Palin “negotiating” with CPAC: “Sure, you get rid of GOProud and Suhail Khan and I’ll speak at your convention.”

Smart move. As usual.
Anyone who thinks that Sarah is dumb should just read her books, listen to her talk, and watch her actions.
Most politicians want face time and recognition, and will do anything to get it. Not Sarah.
Paradoxically, she gets more face time sticking to her principles, although a lot of it consists of bashing, smears, and lies.
Hey, Newt! How’d it help your political chances taking the Republican establishment’s offer to be their spokesperson in support of Dede Scozzafava? You got a lot of air time out of that. Did it help you?
And you, Juan. Do you think it will help you meeting with The One and then coming out and endorsing the Muslim Brotherhood?

Her PAC is sponsoring a reception at CPAC, so it’s not a complete boycott on her part.
