Obama and the convenient alternative of Mubarak in Egypt ElBaradei are very similar ideologically and have the same opinion on all key issues concerning the Middle East:
Nobel Peace prize winner — check
Pro-negotiations with Iran — check
For nuclear disarmament — check
Believer in UN — check
Law professor — check
Against the Iraq War — check
Support Muslim cause: ElBaradei is endorsed by Muslim Brotherhood, Obama attended the Nation of Islam Million Man March and pro-Farrakhan worship place of Rev. Wright. — check

And the correct answer is ElBaradei in the NYTimes, but does it really matter?
Both Obama and Elbaradei are progressives.
Yes, people of Egypt believe they are driving a revolution. They are pushed into it, they will die for it. What they do not realize is that the American socialists know the outcome of their revolution.
In 1997 we the people of Bulgaria (my former country) lived in hyperinflation caused by people like George Soros. We went on the streets to get rid of the ex-communist government that we honestly believed was messing things up.
Protesters broke into the Parliament January 11, 1997 and the riot police beat the crap out of them by midnight. CNN was talking about how our protests were staged – they were not. People were angry. People protested about unemployment and hyperinflation on the streets for 20 days to prove they are protesting for real. The government finally gave up.
The opposition came to power. Bill Clinton saluted the protesters. The opposition proceeded into currency board with IMF (where Geithner was being groomed to be US Treasury secretary one day). The new government proceeded with privatization of the Bulgarian economy giving it away piece by piece in shady deals to corporations of the like of the Immelt’s GE.
Today most of the opposition leaders we elected to get rid of the ‘communists’ make a good living in different progressive NGOs.
Revolutions are not what they seem.
The revolution in Egypt looks like a text-book Soros-progressive revolution.
On the first day activists go on the street.
On the second day – the police are beating the protesters.
On the third day the regular people who are suffering come to support the protesters.
On the fourth day government tries to control the media.
More protesters come out in solidarity.
Protests keep going until the government resigns. Progressives have an organization in place that the people embrace.
Obama, Immelt and friends did a spectacular job in Egypt in my opinion, which is very humbling. The government turned off the correct media at the correct time. The house arrest of Elbaradei was a nice touch. He didn’t have any credibility before the arrest.
The Egyptian people will elect Elbaradei. Hillary Clinton will salute them. They will believe the freedom is coming – instead they will get green light bulbs.
I could be wrong. This is just my opinion and it means nothing. It is not based on facts, but on my life experience.
