“Just yesterday a film clip was shown on Fox in which George Bush described the opponents of his amnesty plan to be “nativists.”

I saw it - he was talking about the many “evil ‘isms’” in this country. Of course, he’d NEVER mention Communism, Marxism, Narcissism, Islamism, Progressivism - the true clear and present dangers to our Republic.

I voted for GW and liked a lot of things about him, but the few faults he had were real doozies.

“And don’t forget that the illegals bring with them pesticide resistant bed bugs”

Don’t worry, Big Brother’s got us covered on that - Saw this was on cspan’s schedule today (no kidding):

Federal Government Response to Bed Bugs

Wayne White (entomologist with American Pest Management) talked about possible action the federal government could take to address the issue of bed bugs. Bed bugs have been found in all 50 states, and a two-day summit on the issue was to be held in Washington, D.C.

God help us.

Oh, goodie. They are going to “address the issue”. We’re saved. I wonder how many hundreds of millions the “study” will cost us.

Yes, it’ll cost us a bundle, no doubt. I thought it too ridiculous to even watch. (Although, being part of
Washington Journal, the call-ins may have been entertaining.) The description went on to say this:

“Representative G.K. Butterfield spoke by phone about his attempts to pass legislation to address bed bug infestation problems.”

This guy’s even been a judge! And yes, you guessed it - he’s a Democrat.

A LAW to deal with bedbugs? LOL! What are they going to do? Fine bedbugs into submission.

Right, liberals are counting them as prospective Democratic voters and don’t give a hoot about the ruin caused by the invading hordes to the nation.

Thanks for the information and the maps, frightening and depressing as they are. But this is a warning to all citizens to take action NOW before that comes to pass!

Excellent summary of a very serious crisis. Just to touch on one point you made, I was shocked when I learned of all the terrible diseases the many illegals are carrying with them. These include forms of mutated and drug-resistant types of TB and other viral and bacterial infections that are particularly virulent in our “virgin” population. Pat Buchanan has a whole chapter describing these horrors (now deliberately hushed up) in his book “The Death of the West,” which is very well documented and describes the pandemics that may well come to afflict our society with the illegal tsunami.

For you FReepers who may not have read it, the most comprehensive and scientific study of the evils of unrestricted illegal immigration on our culture was published by Robert Rector of Heritage. Rector’s research indicated that in about two decades it could collapse the entire economic, social and political infrastructure of America if not curtailed. His work was done a little before the Comprehensive Immigration Reform [a/k/a amnesty] Bill was debated and defeated in ‘06. It caused quite a sensation and was even quoted by Jeff Sessions on the Senate floor. Rector appeared on numerous radio and TV outlets (C-span, etc.) and was the guest of Lou Dobbs and Rush Limbaugh. I posted it on FR. I invite all who havn’t seen it to go to Heritage and check it out.

Maybe the water these feel-good jerks are giving them will give them the strength to continue their illegal crossing and allow them to rob, rape, murder or injure some citizens - and, if things are good, perhaps they can kill some more border guards and eventually collect welfare or end up in prison. There was a time in this country when aiding and abetting an illegal activity had consequences but those days are gone.

Yep, its time we realize that the federal government has their own agenda, one that does not include the people of the US..they are thr drug cartel, they are fostering the illegal immigrants, they are the jailers, the confiscators, the dealers..
I am very sad to know that the border is so open nukes, chemical weapons and entire armies are probably in place already..

We have been betrayed

Good - this story is getting reported in lots of outlets.

I wonder, though, how many people who don’t surf the ‘net know about this? Probably not that many...

"This time it really is George Bush's fault. That is not said by way relativism to excuse Barak Obama his dereliction of duty but Bush laid the predicate and granted his successor the political cover needed to let the border stay open so Obama could enroll voters. Just yesterday a film clip was shown on Fox in which George Bush described the opponents of his amnesty plan to be "nativists."

Do tell.
Do you know who originally granted all the wetbacks amnesty?

That's right: Ronald Reagan

Do tell.

Since you feel the need to open our discussion by being snarky, yes I do tell.

I was telling about enforcement and you switched the subject to legislation without revealing your sleight-of-hand to the reader. I complained of "dereliction of duty" which permits Obama to "let the border stay open" you contrasted my complaints about Bush's failure to police the border to the bipartisan legislation which Ronald Reagan signed. Ronald Reagan was wrong to sign that bill but his motives were to clean up the immigration problem not to open the floodgates. Both Bush and Obama wish to do the latter. Both Bush and Obama resort to demagoguery to justify their desires.

Bush laid the predicate for failure to enforce the border. Ronald Reagan laid a predicate in signing a very bad immigration bill with the very best of intentions to finally put stop to uncontrolled immigration, which is an entirely different matter
