Algore's Ten Year Doomsday Clock Has Only Five Years Left To Go!

RUSH: To Melrose Park, Pennsylvania, this is Mark. I'm glad you called, sir. Hello.

CALLER: Mega dittos from ice-bound southeastern Pennsylvania.

RUSH: Well, thank you, sir, very much.

CALLER: Rush, I wanted to remind your audience that we just passed a very important anniversary. Your website has an Algore doomsday clock that's been counting down a prediction of his that we had ten years left to save the planet from a scorching, and last week we reached the halfway point on that countdown.

RUSH: That is exactly right. I was afraid you were gonna tell me we've gone all ten years. Ha-ha-ha.

CALLER: No, no, no, no.

RUSH: (laughing) And I had missed it. So we're halfway through the Algore ten-year doom prediction?

CALLER: That's right.

RUSH: Save the planet from a scorching ending?

CALLER: Right.

Algore: We Have Ten Years Left Before Earth Cooks
January 27, 2006

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Try this one from yesterday's stack. I don't know if you people know this or not, but Al Gore has been out at the Sundance Film Festival out there in Park City, Utah. This is one of Robert Redford's big do's, and apparently Al Gore is working on a movie that -- what is the name of this movie? Oh, that's right, "An Inconvenient Truth," and the movie will document his efforts to raise alarm on the effects of global warming, and so he brought Tipper and the kids out there.

He's attending parties and posing for pictures with his fans. He's enjoying macaroni and cheese at the Discovery Channel's soirée. He's palling around with Laurie David of Curb Your Enthusiasm, who is the husband of Larry David, who drives the Prius and then flies the GV. Larry David says, "You know, Al is a funny guy, but he's also a very serious guy who believes humans may have only 10 years left to save the planet from turning into a total frying pan."

Now, the last time I heard some liberal talk about "ten years" it was 1988, Ted Danson. We had ten years to save the oceans; we were all going to pay the consequences, which would result in our death. Now Al Gore says we've got ten years. Ten years left to save the planet from a scorching. Okay, we're going to start counting. This is January 27th, 2006. We will begin the count, ladies and gentlemen. This is just... You have to love these people -- from afar, and from a purely observational point of view.

If we don’t all freeze to death, we may be able to watch it expire.

I think Algore is 64 and he seems to put on about 20 pounds a year. I figure in 5 years he will split down the sides and ooze his guts all over the place ... and the the King’s horses and all the King’s men won’t be able to put him together again. So I suspect he has less than five years.

Ten Years After, some nice guitar work on "I'm goin' Home".

Had a conversation with an Indian store clerk, he was concerned about global warming and crazy weather in general. I said to him, "Well, let's say Earth is getting warmer, and maybe CO2 is involved. What do you see taking place?" "What you see is a cooling effect (with more snow, more clouds, longer winters, etc.) that will reflect more heat back into space."

See, earth has dealt with climate anomalies since it's inception. It can't tell the difference between 1 million Priuses and a massive, Indonesian volcano. But it knows how to deal with both. For that we should be thankful. For Al Gore, we should be ashamed.

This is a cut and paste from: Click Here Could this be a predictable aftermath of the recent El Nino? Consider the News from Chicago: “The total snowfall made it the third worst snowstorm on record, behind only blizzards in 1967 — when 23 inches blanketed the city — and 1999 — when 21.6 inches fell.” (http://beaconnews.suntimes.com/3615687-417/drive-lake-wednesday-police-shore.html) Interesting: 1967, 1999, 2011. Note that the strongest El Nino years include: 1965, 1997, & 2009. — exactly two years prior each time. (http://ggweather.com/enso/oni.htm)

Good news! We have an additional twenty seconds to add to the five years remaining.

Note the La Nina years that followed the strong El Nino years coincide with 1967,99&2011, 2 years after the El Nino's. Click Here Joe Bastardi, of Accuweather, Click Here , has predicted that 3 of the next 5 years will be more of the same or worse.

What I’m most impressed with is how Algore works so tirelessly and on a 24/7 basis on this matter out of sheer love and respect for America and it’s people! ~sarc

If iGore is so afraid of Global Warming, why did he buy a mansion on the coast of southern California?

You just gotta’ love watching Algore’s maniacal clinging to his dying theory of Global Warming.

His latest pathetic utterance is that Global Warming causes huge snowfalls.

To have snow requires cold temperatures first therefore Algore is REALLY saying Global Warming causes Global Cooling.

But even he knows if he made a statement like that, he would look like more of a fool than he already does.

The author in that link, Meehl, is something of a junk scientist. He produced the paper showing that U.S. record highs are exceeding record lows, conveniently leaving out the 30's (natural variation) and urban heat island effect (the global average temperature is supposedly corrected for UHIE, but the records are definitely not corrected). So I would read what he writes with a grain of salt.

So I read it, and conclude that he is wrong suggesting La Nina from solar maximums. The world is not doing that lately (La Nina with low solar activity). Also his goal seem to be to purposely minimize the effect of solar variation by oversimplifying it into the strawman of total solar irradiation (TSI) rather than the more important climatic effects of spectral variation (e.g. relatively larger drop in solar UV), and geomagnetic effects.
