On some of the issues you site, I agree. The Title IX support is unseemly, in my eyes.

For many of the rest of the issues, I have not yet seen independent stands taken by her. By that, I mean she hasn’t addressed how President (or “Queen”) Palin would address some of the issues (that I have seen).

In all honesty, I find myself hoping I can fully support Palin in a Presidential quest. To do that, I believe she has significant milestones to achieve - the first many of which are her independent declarations of policy intent. She is still tainted with her need to support McCain in the last elections. In 2008, she had to parrot his line. In 2010, she had to support his reelection in a political payback.

She is one candidate who interests me for 2012.

I would ask mostly that we try to allow the campaign to be waged between the candidates based on their campaigns, which includes their records. Palin appears to be appropriately conservative to me (pending contradiction that I see), as do Bachmann and Demint.

In the end, I believe they need to be allowed to define themselves before we pass judgment. In my mind, Palin has not had that chance, yet.

Your use of the “Quayled” descriptor does not help in that respect, either. “Quayled” is a term that describes when the political opponent defines the candidate, and is the exact opposite of what we need to consider.

I know I have not likely swayed your opinion, pissant. But please consider that the arguments you are presenting to the rest of us are emotional, and therefore ineffective. You argue that the media has destroyed her, yet she endures as a media target because she is not destroyed.

Sorry if I have not made sense here - LOL.

Well put. Palin is only Quayled, used as a verb, if
you accept the oppositions position. I don’t.
Palin at this time can run as herself, and WHEN she
runs we will find out what that is.
Certainly we have several GOOD conservitive candidates
who IF THEY RUN will give us a choice in who to support.
I believe that Palin will run myself, I think she has it
in her and knows it. It remains to be seen if Bachemann sp.
has the grit.
Either way, WE MUST HAVE a CONSERVATIVE candidate to put
up against these socialists if we are to survive as a
country. Look at the damage these two years have done,
look at the waste of time and money this “National Health
care” fiasco is costing us, it should be criminal that
such an unconstitutional bill ever saw the light of day,
not to mention this idiocy in the middle east, the ramifications of which we won’t see for years.

I look forward to the primaries, may the best person win.
Lets not let it degenerate into personal slurs etc.
We have more important enemies to fight than ourselves.
tet.

LOST is far more egregious than Title IX, IMO. We can reverse Title IX, as Reagan tried valiantly to do, but if we create the UN’s Global Seabed Authority and hand a big chunk of our sovereignty over the the UN, it will never come back.

Here is the problem with limiting our discussions within the parameters of candidates “allowed to define themselves before we pass judgment”. Mitt Romney claims to be pro-life now and a lifelong member of the NRA. Huckabee claims to be a tax slasher and anti-amnesty guy. Newt claims he wants to get rid of the EPA. And Perry says he’s for strict border enforcement. Do you see the glaring problem with allowing folks to erase their past, their working years in gov’t, their past campaign statements that infuriated conservatives and whose advocacy caused great damage?

Palin cannot be the first candidate in GOP history allowed to redefine herself for a campaign.

As for emotional, I say nonsense. It’s just the hard facts I present. the emotion comes from those who want run interference for Palin’s statements and policies.
