LET THEM PRINT: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton joined a chorus of support for journalists in Egypt on Thursday, condemning the arrests of reporters by the police and calling for freedom of the press in the country on the brink of revolution.
“Freedom of assembly, freedom of expression and freedom of the press are pillars of an open and inclusive society,” Clinton told reporters at the State Department. “The Egyptian government must demonstrate its willingness to ensure journalists’ ability to report on these events to the people of Egypt and to the world.”
