Clinton takes lead in U.S. Egypt policy
WASHINGTON, Feb. 2 (UPI) — U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has emerged as key to the Obama administration’s handling of the crisis in Egypt, observers say.
It was Clinton who suggested sending former Ambassador Frank Wisner to Cairo to tell President Hosni Mubarak he should not seek re-election, an administration official told Politico.
Hillary COULD save the day in Egypt. Just drop pictures of her in the buff and the streets would be cleared...PRONTO!
nah, nude pics of Michelle would just about make the country give up the will to live.
Obama is waiting until Friday? Friday is when the “protesters” in Egypt say they are going to “remove” Mubarak if he isn’t gone already. They are calling it “Day of Departure.” ElBaradei is pushing it.
Why is Obama waiting for that? Why is his schedule in line with theirs?
your comment about 70’s books reminded me of “Late Great Planet Earth”... mine also has dust..:)
that was from Jan. 25...things had not gone crazy then... and the twitter-lites are likely young (dumb) people
He wants to take the credit for the overthrow. This overthrow was planned, and the delay isn’t part of how it was supposed to go down. Mubarak was supposed to go peacefully when O told him to the other night, and O was supposed to look like a great world leader. Now thingsn are getting ugly and Mubarak is making O look insignificant by not doing as O has ordered him. O doesn’t know what to say until it’s final. He’s probably quite angry. He ought to be careful about the ditches he digs, and how he scams.
“Mubarak is making O look insignificant by not doing as O has ordered him.”
The crazy thing is that the supposedly “peaceful opposition” leader (ElBaradei) is basically saying to get out of Egypt within 2 days or die.

“A pu**y like Cooper who has time to count how many times he’s being hit since he won’t defend himself.”
Pussy, pussy, pussy....

That’s the one. Back then much of it seemed to far out into the future, to happen in our life time, didn’t it?
For example - Imagine not having to carry cash anymore. Well today I rarely carry cash. Maybe some coins for the coffee kitty at work, but that is it.
Too bad there’s no pictures of Anderson Cooper’s caved in face-—now that would be a funny sight to see! He’s so pussified he won’t say anything bad about any Muslim-—even if they shoot him.

IMO - Isreal helped that delay. This overthrow was planned (a set up for war)in an attempt to help Obuma look like the muslim peacemaker in the midst of a ME war. He’s going to need a war as a backdrop for his re election campaign.
CNN’s coverage of Egypt is pretty good, Anderson Cooper notwithstanding.
“Hes so pussified he wont say anything bad about any Muslim-even if they shoot him.”
I wonder if he’s on his way home. (Can’t get CNN....didn’t hook up my digital box yet.)
We’ve got Nero and Hitlery, two inexperienced fools, running the show. This is not going to end well. They couldn’t be content destroying America from within. They had to meddle in the ME. It should be they being marched upon and ousted on Friday. Unfortunately, it will be Egypt and people will die.
May 18, 2010 (yup, they had it thought out)
Activists and opposition such as the Muslim Brotherhood bloc, ElBaradei, and Kefaya however, acknowledge that true change will only come about through action in the streets. Nevertheless the support which comes from online readers reflect the true pent up frustration of the Egyptian people which may very well trigger the uprise necessary for change
While analysts stress that it is impractical to think that online activism will turn things around it may create the existence and strength necessary for opposition to challenge the state and its ways.

“Too bad theres no pictures of Anderson Coopers caved in face.”
I just watched a video of the “confrontation.”
What a crock! He was NOT beaten.
The tweets coming in on AlJizz...

...suggest that the stone and molitov throwing contest continues, but I can’t get any live feed from BBc or Al Jizz - just looping earlier news reports and archival footage from hours ago, over and over again.
I wonder if they ran all of the journalists and cameras out of town or if they just got tired and went to bed?
Fascinating take, thx for the ping!
