That metrosexual could NEVER withstand 2 slaps to the head much less 10 punches! This is BS. Next up he’ll be attacked in a public bathroom with a nazi sign painted on his forehead ala Morton Downey Jr..

How does Cooper, or anyone else besides the perps, know for a fact it was a pro-Mubarak mob?

And he knows the punchers were pro Muburack because they were announcing it as they beat him about his head and chest as he fell into a puddle of his own piss and vomit (jerky boy references there).
To: barbarianbabs
They were merely trying to knock some sense into him.

I don't want the guy to be hit or hurt, however when you think because you are a reporter that somehow you are immune from the violence you find yourself in/covering you are a fool.

I'm sure CNN has film of the attack somewhere. After all, they have been able to quickly produce film/audio evidence of the tea party yelling racist epithets.

Or Islamist goons claiming to be Mubarak supporters attacked Cooper knowing that CNN could be relied upon to go with the story the Islamists intended.

Excellent. We are all a little too inclined to believe the first thing we see reported, especially on twitter.
However, it would be interesting if it happened.

Any Americans in Egypt, especially reporters, should remember Daniel Pearl. While I don’t think most Egyptians want to cut Americans’ heads off, there is no doubt there are some that do; in fact, thousands of those types were just let loose from prisons in the unrest.
If Anderson Cooper was killed by a mob there, could anyone seriously say it would be a surprise? He is a Westerner in an Arab Muslim country; oddly enough, that makes the Mubarak suupporters the best friends he has.
To: icwhatudo
I'm no fan of Anderson Cooper but it illustrates something the left should take a lesson from. If the left gets what it seems to want, and radical islam gains a strong foothold here, they'll be the first ones persecuted. Sharia muslims may see Christians as infidels, but they'll let them live as a kind of serf class. They have no regard for open homosexuals. They'll be the first ones beheaded.
People like Rosie O'Donnell should rethink their position on Evangelicals vs radical muslims.
To: icwhatudo
This proves that they need anti-bullying legislation in Egypt.
