Long before his administration went into federal court to fight 27 states that are now challenging the constitutionality of the federal government forcing people to buy health insurance, then-presidential candidate Barack Obama told Ellen DeGeneres that

Then pray for her.
She’s the ONLY homosexual comedienne to be funnier after she came out of the closet. The others just got bitter and extremely un-funny.
You know, I’m not a huge fan of homosexuality.
But the haters on this forum are too much.
....Obama doesn’t care.
His apologists in the media will ignore this and he’ll never have to answer for it.
If by some off chance, someone does present this to the president, the media will character assassinate that person.
THEY DON’T CARE.
They’re liberals. Anything that achieves their ends is just fine.
Yes, and water is wet. But neither have any bearing on this story.
He's got an easy out: he didn't lie at all: he had nothing to do with it. You will recall that the WH left it up to Congress to create the Health Care bill. He signed what reached his desk, and had to take the good with the bad.
It's a new Obama record .... throwing all 535 congress-critters under the bus, all at once!
You think maybe some of these people protest too much? LOL!
Do not speak for the "we" I know. I have a close relative that is gay. I have friends that are gay. I feel sorry for people like you. I have no one in my life like you or the "we" you speak for. I never would speak for a "we", only myself; but I stand up for them against such remarks. I respect the great, caring, intelligent human beings that they are.
Best I move on.
I was interested, however, in the Obama part of the story.
Wait, what?
But seriously he meant what he said. He is loathe for his constituents to pay for health insurance. He’s loathe for them to pay for anything. Doesn’t mean they won’t be obtaining health care. We are living John Lennon’s imagine. It’s going to be so good. Artists can art, slackers can slack, welfare queens can fight with baby daddies over the crack pipe, all without worrying about buying health insurance. It’s going to be great. Imagine all the people. Nancy Pelosi’s crazy little world inside her head becoming reality.
Has Obama been on Face the Nation? I don’t think so. Why? He doesn’t need the vote of people who might tune into Face the Nation. Now I know he’s been on The View. You figure it out.
Too omnipresent, too hate filled and too willing to type it out.
My internet connection is just fine.
Hey, something I agree with Obama on! And quite well said, actually. Quite articulate.
As for Ellen, she always looks like a disoriented 12 year-old pretending to be happy.
To clarify, this thread is about Obama and what he said in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.
Immediately, all the gay haters could think about was how much they dislike Ellen.
Ellen was incidental to this story, but that was all they could focus on. That’s what I mean by ‘too much.’
Do you think Obama’s answer would’ve been different if he were talking to a straight interviewer?
I’m not in favor of homosexuality, but, Ellen hasn’t tried to put forth an agenda like some other activists. Its a shame that she has gone this route, because I really do like her and her humor.
As someone commented - pray for her.
You don’t seem to ‘get it.’
I hate affirmative action and, just so you know, I’m not a guy.
Placemark for pingout.
You seem to be under the impression that people who think the homosexual agenda is evil and that same sex sodomy is unnatural, unhealthy and immoral are “haters”.
Nope, we’re realists who stand up for truth and morality.
