Not quite so. God WANTS to love her and call her His own, but He cannot, because her unrepentant sins get in the way. If she should discover that and sincerely accept His gift to her(His Son), then she would be His beloved daughter. Absent that repentance, He must show her JUSTICE, not love and mercy.
I find it poetic that his own words come back to haunt him. Now, if only his birth certificate and all his school records could do the same!!!
I’m saying that things are messed up in the man/woman arena as well. Never mind homosexual marriage. Seems like HETEROsexual marriage is dying out due to modern Western family court laws. And they wonder WHY Muslims are outbreeding westerners. Sorry if it seemed like a tangent to you.
Ofcourse, the acceptance of homosexuality as an ‘alternative lifestyle’ is itself the subject of a much broader study, the decline of Western values, which were rooted in the absolute truths of the Holy Scriptures

Riddle me this: HOW would that give someone “power over God”? Or maybe I did phrase it badly. Perhaps it’s more like He cannot EXPRESS His Love for her because of her sin. All He can do is deliver JUSTICE, giving her the WAGES she’s earned, not the mercy He WANTS to give her (and all the rest of us), but that can’t happen unless she repeats and accepts the finished work of Jesus, on the cross where, in death, He gave us forgiveness, and the grave, where His resurrection gave us victory over death and eternal life. Is that more clear?

God loves Ellen despite who she is and what she does. He loves her right now and He will love her even as He delivers justice upon her, you and me.
See, that’s the big difference between her and me (and maybe you): God won’t be dealing justice to me, because He’s already dealt me His mercy. I ACCEPTED His gift. Yes, He loves each of us, but I try to explain it in a way that won’t leave room for holding Him hostage: because of your UNREPENTANT sin, God may love you, but He cannot, by His rules, give you anything but what you’ve EARNED. Remember, “...the WAGE of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life...” Without her accepting that gift, He cannot show
His love and mercy. Only His justice.
