Check article. I always read labels, and try to buy stuff Made in the U.S.A., - also purchase foodstuffs with NO high fructose corn syrup whenever possible.
As do I!
Hi LucyT, I noticed you are avoiding the HF cornsyryp and thought you might be interested in my new favorite books that help us do just that.
Have you heard of the “Eat This Not That” series of books?
I found them 2 weeks ago and now I take the “Supermarket Survival Guide, Eat This Not That” to the store with me in my purse. It is amazing the crud that is in our food supply. Now I can more easily avoid the usual suspects in our foods.
The restaurant survival guide book is also excellent (”Restaurant Survival Guide, Eat This Not That). I don’t eat out much, but still, I will use that book when I do.
They are cheap books at Amazon (12 bucks) or $20 at bookstores, measure 7 by 7 inches and tuck into most purses.
Thanks for your pings!
As comforting as it is to buy products "Made in the USA," which I do, I often wonder where the contributing food/grain/juice products are from that are used in the production of the product. There really is no truth in the label as long as some or all ingredients come from nations where standards are minimal, lax or nonexistent.
