Simple. No TV cameras. Draw your own conclusions.
do you really need to ask? i mean really?
Because the media is not harping on it. There are lots of people complaining, you just don’t hear or see them.
Ummm, because we have a corrupt, politicized, left-wing media????
Or is there a less obvious answer?
No jobs to drive to - price per gallon is moot.
There’s plenty of beefing and complaining! The publics voice has been muted by the MSM. Just pay and shut up! :)
LOL......It’s STILL Bushes fault!
When there is a Republican in office, the Monica Media pounds us with daily human interest stories of Pain at the Pump.
When a Democrat is in office, not so much.
The correct answer is in the planning by the great zero. Since nobody is working (even though he says times are good), nobody can afford to drive and so they do not know how high gasoline is. Or as other forums would say “sheepie, sheepie”.
Simple answer.
Incidentally I drive a diesel pickup and diesel here in Albuquerque is now 3.40 and up.
Because the RAT Party likes it when gas hits $4.00 a gallon and they can say it was Bush’s fault. Egypt is all Bush’s fault. Supporting Israel is all Bush’s fault. Get it!
You mean “Why no Media Outcry?”. Simple, they would never upset their masters.
That anger is being redirected against Mortgages and bankers and the Federal Reserve.
Mortgages are just a symptom of the economy tanking. Oil price increases is one of the big root causes of the economy tanking.
Everybody’s unemployed so they don’t need gas to get to work.................
The Dear Leader said we shall not drill. Drilling in American waters is off-limits for America. Chinese, Russian and Cuban companies will fill that gap and profit handsomely. Meanwhile once-powerful America will meekly sit in the corner with its hands tied, hoping and praying its energy needs will be minimally met with solar panels and huge props in farm fields.
Vociferous bitching is not a solution. Neither is boycotting
gas pumps. ;-)
no kidding! Didn’t you get tired of the phrase “Pain at the Pump” in news stories back in the Bush Era?
I did a search on “pain at the pump” on news.google.com\archivesearch (when gas was $2.81 a gallon) and it found 15,000 articles with that phrase.
This phrase appear 62 times in 2010, although the first one I found was a CNN story with the heading “NO pain at the pump”
The MSM has been very fortunate. There have been plenty of “stories” that they have been able to focus on the last couple of months, instead of the gasoline story - elections, what will Obama do because of election, John Boehner crying, Barack Obama in Hawaii, Weather, Charlie Sheen, Weather, Egypt, Weather. After this storm clears, they’ll think of something else to talk about, other than the misery of “normal” Americas.
The outcry is there - the media just refuses to report it. After all, their boy is in the White House now, so high gasoline prices don’t matter any more.
Because it hasn’t yet hit the “$10 a gallon” he desires for the “good of the planet”?
The media isn’t mentioning it because it’s all going exactly as planned.
Filled up yesterday at $2.95 in nw Arkansas.
It was $2.60 two months ago.
