I don’t know how you’re insurance works, but with my policy as most, it is the vehicle that is insured, not the driver.
Not all insurance works that way.
In Washington state (and some others) there is such a thing as “broad form” insurance. It insures the driver, not the vehicle.
I got 3 rigs in my driveway. It got way too expensive to insure them all, and I was fed up with getting nickel-and-dimed all the time by my insurance company.
I told them to take a flying leap and now have broad form insurance, at quite a discount, and can drive any of my rigs at any time. Whatever I drive is covered.
