St Louis metro weather reporters predicting Thunder Snow. What on earth is that???

I've only seen it a couple of times. It's a snow storm with some thunder and lightning. Really strange.

Yesterday the prediction in Dayton, OH was for an inch of ice. Apparently the ice line has moved north and we're supposed to only get about a quarter of an inch.

We had that last week, when the predicted 6-8 inches magically turned into 16-18 inches.
