A FreeRepublic member SFmom who attended the speech confirm as well that Palin did not retreat from her famous line: I was there!!! She did NOT say she was ditching the phrase and even repeated it!!!
That's a relief: one who takes ideas seriously does not sacrifice her own individual independent rational judgment in order to placate people whose beliefs she knows to be irrational.
