Despite national press reports to the contrary, the Hawaii state legislature has no intention of releasing Barack Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate not even for $100.
By introducing HB1116 into the Hawaii legislature last week, five Democrats are giving the impression they are willing to make Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate available to the public for a fee.
Instead, the plan is for the state of Hawaii to create a completely new document that will be carefully designed to carry the seal of the state of Hawaii without ever having to certify details of parentage and birthplace.
Hawaii's Revised Statute HRS338 restricts making public birth certificate and other vital records only to those who have a "direct and tangible interest," namely the person applying for the certified birth certificate copy, a member of the immediate family, or others with a legal interest such as an adoptive parent or a legal guardian.
Now, the language of HB1116 attempts to skirt these restrictions by modifying Hawaii law such that for a fee of $100, the Hawaii Department of Health will release "a copy of a birth record" for those HB1116 defines as "persons of prominence."

Does this meritless, idiotic idea qualify as smoke, a mirror or both? What a joke.
Lets face it, most of us non Harvard graduates aren’t brilliant enough to understand the genius behind this latest scam. We’ll need the combined wisdom of the MSM to ‘explain it all to us’ in simple little sound bites repeated over and over again so that we might digest and appreciate it all.
And this grand idea is supposed to pay down the state's debt? BRILLIANT!
The Bill is a smoke screen.
There is no birth certificate that is legitimate so the are making the BC a farce and trying to make money.
Sick
This must be a simple misunderstanding. Plenty of trolls right here on FR have assured us, thousands of times at least, that all Barry’s HI records are on file and in perfect order. This being the case, there is no need for all this shuckin’ and jivin’. I’m sure what they intend to do is release a certified copy of the real long form BC.

It takes 1 person to post online for the other 999,999. Brilliant way for the state to make $100.
How is this worthless paper any different than Enron or Madoff?
“...for a fee of $100, the Hawaii Department of Health will release “a copy of a birth record””
I’ll sell it for $50.
Hehe... create web site called Obamasbirthcertificate.com and let people download and print their own copies. And all it will cost is a $5 donation to the Tea Party.
yours would be just as valid as what THEY will offer..
Looks like they listened to their lawyers.
The trolls’ story has gradually shifted. First they defended the COLB and ridiculed ‘birthers’. Now they quote Boehner (as if he’s seen the BC, or has a clue) and maintain the fiction that a long form for Barry exists. They’ve definitely toned down, though. They know Barry is a fraud; they’re just hoping the lid can be clamped down till after 2012.
If the state of Hawaii is willing to print counterfeit birth certificates, why don’t they go all the way and print counterfeit U.S. dollars? Go on Hawaii! What’s holding you back?
Because they want to put a State seal on their new non BC document, I wonder if it is intended as a means to qualify under the many new proof of eligibility laws other states will have for 2012 in order to get on the ballot.
It will be a “certified copy” of the internet sham document. Why not? There must be millions of people who actually take the damned thing seriously, in fact I know some of them personally. There are probably some who will pay a hundred clams for a copy of that farce.
Palafox not wanting to provide cover for the guv or Obama/Soetoro???
Also cast in doubt as a possible “cover story” was the initial allegation Palafox had withdrawn his nomination because he was involved in a fraud investigation.
“He did not volunteer it on his own, Brook Hart, Palafox’s attorney, told the Star Advertiser. “He had no idea why the governor asked him to resign. But he did because the governor asked him to do so.”
Hart also told the newspaper that Palafox has no information about any fraud investigation.
“He [Palafox] has no information at this point why there’s an investigation, what the investigation is about or even a hint about what it is that somebody is claiming he did wrong.”
It is a big con job, but what do you expect from Democrats?
