HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The lawyer for Hawaii's former health director says he still has no idea why the governor asked him to step down. Doctor Neal Palafox resigned after about five weeks on the job. The governor's staff is being tight lipped about the investigation. Although it was the reason he asked the doctor to resign and even though no one claims to know details, sources tell Hawaii News Now it's because he's linked to a medical reimbursement fraud investigation.
"The governor came and told him that some investigation had been initiated he didn't say when and because there was some uncertainty about the outcome of this investigation the governor would appreciate it if Dr. Palafox would step down from his position," said Brook Hart.
Hart says the timing of the investigation is somewhat suspicious. In Dr. Palafox's short time as health director he did decide to lay off some powerful people in the department, but his lawyer has no idea if that has anything to do with the case.
Ping.
Ya think???
If you elect some goofy old hippie as governor, you will get some very entertaining results.
lol. And then they try to possibly link the timing with him firing some people rather than with the obvious story that the whole country is aware of - that of the governor going into the hospitals with search warrants and not being able to find a birth certificate for the alleged POTUS, which would reveal fraud by the whole HDOH in the previous administration.
If Palafox fired Alvin Onaka I might think that’s related, but only because Alvin Onaka knows Obama is not eligible. He’s the only one left in an official position who has been said to have seen that “the record is on record in accordance with state policies and procedures”, if I’m remembering correctly.
I’ve got my daughter’s music blasting in my ears so I can’t think very well. Weekends are not very productive for me when it comes to thinking. Was Onaka inlcuded in Fukino’s first statement?
In the text of her statement on Oct. 31, 2008 Onaka was included by title but not by name.
Oh boy.
Remember the October 2008 statement went out under Okubo. The July 2009 statement was supposedly issued by Fukino but follow-up emails with questions were answered by Okubo. Specifically an e-mail from Okubo claimed the Hawaii AG reviewed the statement prior to its release. The Hawaii AG, in writing, has said they did not.
Okubo is still around. She issued the statement from DOH on the resignation of Palafox. So Okubo is the queen bee of HDOH. She is probably with connected with the powers. As Communication Director and apparently in a merit position she can act as the gatekeeper.
The Fukino July 2009 statement was not live. It was simply ‘released’. It is possible Okubo released it without support of Fukino.
How spokesbabe Okubo keeps her job is as big a mystery as how the pyramids were built. If anyone needs to be investigated, she’s at the top of the list.
The 10-31-08 statement came from Fukino. A note at the bottom of the page indicates that questions or information can be obtained from Okubo. The copy of the statement is here:

STATEMENT BY DR. CHIYOME FUKINO
There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obamas official birth certificate. State law (Hawaii Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record.
Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawaii, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obamas original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.
No state official, including Governor Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of the State of Hawaii.
