The irony is that Obama was elected because he was black, not despite his being black. Millions of morons voted for him for his color alone, primarily guilt ridden whites. Another irony is that he is a black (half-black) who was raised by honky whites. Personally, I’d have been much more satisfied if Thomas Sowell had been elected president, despite his being black.
