Will Obama Lose Egypt? (really "must read" -- context)
Investor's Business Daily ^ | Jan 28, 2011 | IBD Editorial

An Ally Imperiled: What Egyptians are demonstrating against, whether they know it or not, is socialism. What they - and we - could end up with is another Iran. Is President Obama repeating Carter's Shah betrayal?

Three decades ago, Iran - after being saved from Soviet dominance by the U.S. in 1953 - traded in the flawed autocratic rule of the Shah for the bloodthirsty Islamist fanaticism of the Ayatollah Khomeini.

At the time, Jimmy Carter's presidency was, in the name of "human rights," on the side of the Islamists.

Does the Obama administration realize the difference between freedom-based revolutions and violent overthrows that will help jihadists?

In 2009, the Egyptian daily Almasry Alyoum reported that President Obama secretly met in Washington that year with representatives of Egypt's jihadist Muslim Brotherhood, the Hamas ally that, while banned, dominates the opposition in the country.

Bullseye!

oops - the word police will be knocking at my door soon.

Seriously, Obama’s first official public speech was an hour - not in the US - but in Egypt in which he waxed gushingly about Islam and promised it was a new day in US cooperation and aid to Muslim countries.

Why Egypt for his first public speech? to announce to the Muslim world: “Mission accomplished. We have the WH.” ?

Yep. That speech in Cairo was the first time obama flashed weakness and pretty much opened the door to radical islam. They tested clinton over and over until they figured out that he was a pushover. Then Bush came along and “shocked and awed” them so when obama came along, they were a little bit tenuous. After two years, they have figured out the little kenyan. Hang on, it will be a damn rough couple of years to go.

Does anyone get a bit concerned about the coincidence of what's happening in Egypt and this ban being lifted at the same time?

For what it's worth, I noticed. Tariq Ramadan, stylish jihadist grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood (Grand Daddy of AQ), has just had his "ban" on travel to the U.S. lifted. It looks like the same gang of idiots who were running the State Department in 1979 are back in charge.

Add that to the WikiLeaks memo demonstrating the administration's collusion with the "effendi" El Baradei, and one has to begin connecting the dots.

Perhaps his fore-knowledge of events on the Suez Canal is what led the anti-president to spout on and on about "Energy Independence," this week...

I'm afraid it's going to be more than a couple years.
It took 80 years after the Bolshevik Rev. to escape the dictatorship.

I'm thankful I'm not in a city - or even near one. But I wish my family were all in the country too - far away from cities. I am so afraid for my children and grandchildren.

Watch the MSM! Zer0 will get total credit for the uprisings of the Arabs, based on his Cairo speech!
But, only if it comes out ok. Hardliner Condi and Bush will be villified, regardless of the outcome!

I wonder what her handle is now that it has been shown that she freeps?

Your .JPG URL shows that the item is a Rackitt photo of Mika Brzezinski. Who is she, why is she important (I've heard the name), and what's her screen name?

I guess you don't know the last.

Oh, you bet -- it's always Bush's fault, unless there's a good outcome.

And Condi is always eligible for it to be her fault, too.

That speech in Cairo was the first time obama flashed weakness collusion.....

There, does that help? The WikiLeaks docs show that collusion with the Brotherhood (see posts above) is what Obama is up to, just like his colluding with Hugo Chavez on the Zelaya affair.

He's selling out U.S. allies and friends as fast as he can, to damage the U.S.

We’re getting the word out about Obama and his “administration”, voting, donating, and doing everything in our power to point out the absurdities of Obama.

Exactly right, one day we will realize that mere words are not enough when dealing with tyrants and would-be-dictators. Our Forefathers knew this well.

But that takes organization and a singleness of purpose, not backstabbing people who speak truth to power thereby discouraging others to join in the fray.

30+ "czars" accountable to NO ONE except the One. Gee, wonder what they're fiddlin' with? EPA, business takeovers, healtcare destroyed, free market destroyed, choke hold on resources, energy, why nothing to see here folks, move along and get in the soup line of your choice.

Oh, and you old, infirm and handicapped folks, come right this way....

Our imperial leader wouldn't hang on the coat tails of a true leader only to blame a true leader for the imperial leader's lack of leadership.

Would he? /nuclear sarcasm

If you want to hear probably the only true voice on the real enemy behind what is happening in Egypt and it's potential disastrous outcome for us and the world - listen to our new Congressman, Lt. Col Allen WEst on Huckabee coming up on Fox at 8 tonight.
West knows who the real enemy is - and he does NOT mince words. PC be damned.
We need to keep this man's back.

He talked with the Muslim Brotherhood but gave Netanyahu the cold shoulder.
