I predict: every radical Marxist and Muslim faction in the World will make their move in the next two years while there's a Fellow Traveler in the White House.

While our talking heads can not get their minds wreapped around the idea of O as a Marxist he is leading the world into global confligration. Ever the good muzzie, he just wants to watch the world burn.

I met Bolton personally once and asked him about being a neo-conservative. he adamantly denies it and criticizes neo-cons which is in some sense what he is doing now.

I say this as a rather neocon person myself. Bolton does not think the Iraq war should have extended beyond removal of Saddam. He does not believe in nation building. He definitely sees US foreign policy as purely our self interest.

I think Bolton agrees with you more than you are allowing.

This issue is also more complicated than you are letting on. We let the Iranian dictator go and now we have the current Islamic government. The same could certainly happen here in Egypt.

The man is far from clueless and probably one of our best and clearest foreign policy minds.

Well why ELSE would Hussein be considering cutting off American aid to Egypt. Can’t have another damned DEMOCRACY cluttering up his attempts to rule the friggin’ world, now CAN he!

They should at least be planning it. Frankly, we, and even more so the Europeans, should be prepared to seize the Suez at the first hint that a new Egyptian regime will close it. The Nasser government did after all reaffirm the Constantinople Convention which guarantees that the Suez "shall always be free and open, in time of war as in time of peace, to every vessel of commerce or of war, without distinction of flag."

I'm not optimistic, though. These are the same people who called Bush a "war criminal" for enforcing Iraq's treaty obligations.

I’ve met Bolton a couple times myself, and I think you are quite right about him.

Does anyone realize that if Mubarak falls to some Obamite notion of a democratic revolution, that the Suez Canal falls into the control of Iran? And that Saudi's go next?

This is not about people's rights to a democracy. Islam does not tolerate a democracy. They might use it as public relations for about ten seconds to make the folks at NPR and the UN jiggy with it, but that's not what's going on here.

Iran’s nuclear program has been setback by a computer virus for at least 3 years not that long ago by Isreal.

Unfortunately, that didn't deliver much "Shock and Awe" to the rest of the neighborhood.

No. Bolton is for the repeal of DADT and homosexual “marriage”.

I bet you supported the overthrow of the Shah of Iran, too. Gee, what a smart guy. Not.

“Welcome to the Carter Moment: another middle eastern country is handed over to the Islamic Jihad. “

Since there are lots of Americans over there it won’t be much of a stretch to imagine Hostage Crisis II.

Crap, you're right. Forgot about that part.

So, should we all put on leisure suits, get drunk and watch the world come apart?

Maybe I'll write a book..."Waiting for Reagan"

“Maybe I’ll write a book...”Waiting for Reagan” “

How about this for a working title:
“Waiting for Reagan in high heels”

It would take the next Reagan (Palin) to stand up to those idiots once again.

Ronald Reagan had forty years of fighting the communists since his days at the screen actors guild. Sarah Palin does not have that kind of indepth experience. I like her too but that doesn’t mean that she has to be President. Let’s get away from the personality thing and look at possible candidates with a real down-to-earth perspective.

Look at the situation in Egypt— it is a minefield. It will take a really astute leader to deal with all of the complexities of the Middle East.

Ambassador Bolton is off his meds. No way will “democracy” come to Egypt. It will either be a military dictatorship or one run by Muslim Brotherhood Islamists. Egypt is Barry's “Jimmy Carter redux.” Wait until the Muslim Brotherhood victors start taking Western hostages. Obozo will send Hillary(!) with a strongly worded note.
