Americans who still doubt that President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii may soon have access to a copy of his birth record, but it will cost them.
Tired of requests from so-called "birthers" asking to see Obama's birth certificate -- and hoping to make a dent in the state's projected $800 million budget deficit -- state legislators have proposed a bill that would offer a copy of the coveted document to anyone who asks and charge a $100 fee.
"If it passes, it will calm the birthers down," Rep. Rida Cabanilla said, according to The Associated Press. "All these people are still doubting it because they don't want the birth certificate from Obama. They want it from our state office.
The bill was introduced by Democratic legislators in Hawaii, who said they hoped it would have the added effect of bringing a little money into the state.
"If the people are so concerned about Barack Obama and if he was actually born in Hawaii, born in the United States, let them pay a fee of 100 bucks," said Rep. John Mizuno, according to KHON2 News in Hawaii. "We can certainly use the money, and we don't need to hear their complaining anymore."
Two years into Obama's presidency, birther conspiracy theories about his place of birth have abated somewhat, but continue to generate political controversy. He actually said............"Yesterday, talking to Neil's office, Neil says that he searched everywhere using his powers as governor ..... there is no Barack Obama birth certificate in Hawaii. Absolutely no proof at all that he was born in Hawaii."
The writer lies from the start of the story to the end, using COLB and Birth Certificate as if they are the same thing. The Rats are trying the same tactic, selling COLB's for $100 while refusing to release the long form birth certificate.
Never underestimate the stupidity of the American people. A lot of people will buy this scam hoo, line, and sinker. They have been lied to so often about this topic, most actually probably do not even understand the difference between the COLB Barry put out and the acutal long form birth certificate, The good thing is, some lawmakers in states like Arizona DO know the difference, and are going to put in place laws for the 2012 election that will expose the fraud that occupies the White House.

I seriously doubt that it is birthers who are asking for the BC. Birthers don't believe it exists, and they wouldn't want to find it if it did. I suspect it is lib/dems, like Gov. Abercrombie, who want to shut the birthers up and put this to bed once and for all.

No, what I mean is the state said they cannot release anything to anyone except Obama. So, how can they charge money for what they cannot do?
I think the State of Hawaii should take the alleged birth certificate on tour on the mainland, and display it at fairs and carnivals on a pay-per-view basis. They would make a ton of money.
In the late 1960’s, I payed $1 at a carnival to see the actual car that Bonnie and Clyde were driving then they were shot and killed. We knew it was authentic, because they guy taking our money said so.
Mike Evans could be the official court reporter at the trial while internet powerhouse Andy Martin could live blog the proceedings.
How much for a copy of Obama’s college and law school transcripts? The ones that show grades SO GOOD that Obama won’t release them?
The COLB is the story the whole DEM/MSM axis is going to push hard now because they know there's real trouble brewing if any state makes it a requirement for a real BC to be in hand for election '12.

During the 1960’s I personally witnessed several new Mommies coming in to ship their cars back to Hawaii (via Matson Lines http://www.Matson.com ) shortly after their giving birth elsewhere, inside or outside the Mainland United States.
These new Mommies were told by other Mommies present to just go to the Honolulu Officals and proclaim that their newborns were born in Hawaii and a Birth Certificate showing so would be automatically produced.
It was THAT commonplace ..and well known about by many.. back then..!!!
This was during a 9-10 year window after Hawaiian Statehood when they could get away with it.

There is no reason to believe that even if they did release a COLB that it would match the one posted online.
The image online is nothing. It hasn’t been verified by Hawaii.
Even if the COLB is the birth record they are proposing releasing for a fee, would it be a non-certified version directly from Hawaii? Would it be marked as “amended?”
Nobody has gotten a COLB directly from Hawaii.

Something. Got it? WHAT “something”? A statement without any original documents to back it up? We’re just supposed to take their word for it? This is all a setup. It’s to “answer” the question for “honest” people without a “political agenda”. It’s to give the mainstream media something more to lie about and to use to demonize “birthers” over.
I wonder if this “certified” SOMETHING will carry any penalties, like perjury, if it turns out that somebody, someday, can PROVE that he wasn’t born there?
They won’t give a CERTIFIED COLB because they CAN’T. Why? Because they KNOW it WON’T match the COLB at FactCheck. It won’t match and they know it.
If they produce a COLB that follows their laws, they will be certifying that his online COLB is a fraud because a COLB that follows their laws WON’T match. It will, for one thing, say it was amended or late, as required by their laws. It will also state whatever fact it is that he’s been hiding for all these years.
If they produce a COLB that does match, not one of them is going to go out on a limb to certify it because something on it will NOT be true and they know it.
So they’re trying to come up with something that’s certified but doesn’t name birth parents, or any other of the birth “facts” on that online COLB, especially whatever it is that he’s hiding.
In the end, it doesn’t matter if he was born in Hawaii, if they don’t also certify who his parents were because without that knowledge, nobody can KNOW if he’s a natural born citizen. They must also certify the exact location of the birth and the date of the birth, because this also pertains, even if it was in Hawaii, because Hawaii perhaps wasn’t yet a state or maybe the birth took place on land that wasn’t part of the territory of Hawaii.
btw, Mizuno says that the WH is aware of what they’re doing with that legislation.
