The police response was massive. The incident prompted a manhunt that included 350 police and deputies, and the lockdown of nine different schools in the area.

Residents were unable to return to their homes and more than 9,000 LAUSD students were locked in the classrooms for hours without access to food or bathrooms.

the guy made it all up is one thing, this response is the real problem IMO...

total conditioning of everybody included to drop their lives...for an 'only one'...

i cant return to my home or pick my kid up from skuul??? really ???

Yes good point. Its insane that they wouldn’t let tje kids use the bathrooms. 9000 kids had to use buckets in the classroom closet. 350 cops, and they can’t secure the bathrooms?!

But what if they under-reacted?

It was reported the shooter might have headed into the school, and possibly entered a home near a school...

We've seen schools full of dead students before.

Can anyone imagine if they didn't secure the area, and create a secured containment area or perimeter, and the shooter took a classroom hostage and or neighbors in the immediate area hostage? A class room full of dead kids?

The cops would never hear the end of it, and they'd be a target for major lawsuits for 20 years.
