I never found the Color Coded thing offensive or stupid....I thought it made sense.

Actually, a numeric level like the US military’s ‘DEFCON’ level would make the most sense. That way you don’t have to memorize which color is more severe.

Except it never changed. It started at Orange and has been on Orange nonstop for, what, 8 years? A system that can’t discern has no value.
