Carter Redux.
We have seen the result, imagine what this
means for the next 20 years.

“Demonstrate or riot? Is there a distinction for Gibbs? “

If you had a true dictator complete with secret police, you’d riot too.

Obummer supports rock-throwing rioters in Egypt but can’t stand peaceable assemblies of the Tea Partiy in his own country. Now I know he’s related to Janus, the two-faced god of the Romans.

“The Obama administration on Wednesday voiced its support for the Egyptian people’s rights to freedom of expression and assembly”

THIS is beyond insane. The muslim brotherhood is behind these protests, and if Egypt falls, there will be war the likes of which the US has not seen since WWII. The Middle East will blow like a whale with heartburn and all the king’s horses will not be able to put it back together again.
I have not forgotten the “special invitation” issued to the muslim brotherhood by obama himself, and the “personal meeting” when he was in Cairo.

From the Egyptian gov point of view it is not a protest right question, but US backing in a hard crackdown:
The Eqyptian Army is on standby, near the Suez canal scores were shot dead by security forces, the Muslim Brotherhood is waiting for the right moment to step in.

And Glilbbs talks glibbly about rights, while a woman (Clinton) tells the muslim Egyptians to calm down, and O&M prepare for their nest vacation.

Not only will Egypt fall to jihadis, but will be factor in touching off a four front war against Israel. O&M will return from vacation to send US forces into the fray just before O&M leave for their next vacation - returning from which the magic couple will find the US in crisis, declare a National Emergency, postpone 2012 elections and go on a well deserved vacation.

And so begins another world war...

Funny. I don’t remember Obama supporting the Iranians’ right to demonstrate.

VIOLENT assembly. It's what Obomas allies are calling for here.

The Tea parties were too peaceful. They didn't fit the progressive agenda. To the new left (old communists), peace is not the answer.

a few well placed bombs could change
the course of the Nile river,
thus putting Egypt out of business

While 0bie and Biden the Slow ramble around the country trying to sell their “investment” program, the MidEast erupts. I agree that, just in the case with Carter, 0bama is going to attempt to give this a “benign neglect” approach until it gets so far out of hand the entire region will be in flames. Al-Qaeda has already said they’re behind the rioting in Tunisia. Is there any doubt their handprint is on the tumult in Egypt as well?

A real president would be monitoring this far more closely. But the concept of a “real” president has been absent for two years.

Their anger has been stoked by rampant poverty, rising prices and growing unemployment.

Yeah, just like rampant poverty, rising prices and growing unemployment were the "cause" of the attacks on 9/11.
