Airforce officials are keeping quiet about a commander with the Alabama Air National Guard who could possibly face charges following an investigation that he had received nearly $96,000 in unauthorized compensatory time and had regularly flown an F-16 on personal trips. The Montgomery Advertiser obtained a report via the Freedom of Information Act, in which an unamed wing commander of the 187th Fighter Wing, was ultimately found to have committed four violations of National Guard and Air Force regulations.

Whered he go,whered who go?Best line of topgun.
I agree
One wears mink, the other rabbit, so what is the real difference?
What? He landed the F-16 in his relatives' back yard?
This is a hallowed tradition and the way pilots have kept sharp since 1905. Wedding in St. Louis? A low pressure light will come on. You land in St. Louis. Take a cab to the wedding. You come back the next day, and everything checked out. Fly back home. The wedding time is not logged. The flying time is logged. Any questions?
Did you know that a golf bag will fit in the back seat of a T-33? Did you also know that John McCain was one of the worst pilots the Navy ever released from flight school over the objections of his instructors ... who of course were never heard from again ... and were last seen refurbing mess kits in 29 Palms? That he got lost many times ... over the Chesapeake? That if you total up the aircraft he destroyed, he could well be Hanoi's last ace?
How does one fly an F-16 on “personal trips?”
Its not like you can land it anywhere, or take it down to the Bahamas on a whim.
But damn, if I could have taken an F-16 --- I would have hated the Gulf Stream after that. ;~))
If he falsified paperwork to get extra compensation, he's as good as dead. Messing with paperwork is MUCH worse than tailoring a 'training mission' to go visit the family.
It's the way the world works today. I'm not approving of it, just acknowledging it.

Hookers don't barf the first you show them your yo-yo.
If you read the story, the investigation is over, the news paper released the story because there had been no punishment and nothing but a cover up. We are 14 trillion in debt fire the ahole yesterday, those plane’s are not his personal toys and make him pay back the money and the cost of the fuel.
I don’t see the problem.
No, you wouldn't. The Gulf Stream has a bathroom.
I was required (by my job) to get the training to sit in the seat in a F-16. I did that on the ground, canopy up, pins in. It sucked.
I also passed on an 'incentive flight' which is a scheme where pilots that need air time take NCOs up to listen to them barf.
No thanks.

LOL

>>And fighter jocks will be his judge and jury.<<
He’s toast, isn’t he?
You can take it to another ANG base, of which there are 97, most of which are near major cities. Grab a car, and off you go to see the folks.
Quiet time afterwards....
What did a plane cost in 1905???
