A celebrity journalist now claims he misspoke when he said last week that Hawaii’s governor told him he was unable to find President Barack Obama’s original birth certificate after a search of state and hospital archives.
Mike Evans told FoxNews.com on Wednesday he was remorseful and embarrassed that he appeared to have given the impression that he had discussed the search for Obama’s birth certificate with Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie.
Evans, who says he has been a close friend of Abercrombie since the 1980s, appeared on Minnesota’s KQRS radio last week and said he’d been told by the governor himself that Obama’s birth certificate was nowhere to be found. Evans told KQRS on Jan. 20:
"Yesterday, talking to Neil's office, Neil says that he searched everywhere using his powers as governor ..... there is no Barack Obama birth certificate in Hawaii. Absolutely no proof at all that he was born in Hawaii."
But that’s no longer Evans’ story.
“Only this I can you tell you is 100 percent fact: that Neil never told me there was no birth certificate,” Evans told Fox News. “I never talked to him.”

If McCain or Bush didn’t release any of the above they would not have been Presidents. Why was Obama never vetted by the media?

I saved a day ago when I heard the interview with Jack Cashill that played the interview to which you’ve now linked. It is interesting how the obamanoids expose themselves on FR to try and cover for this bastard pres_ _dent.

It IS a legitimate concern. It IS a valid question.

So the guy is now a certified lire no matter how you look at it. The question is which time was he lying? The first time when he had everything to lose by lying or the 2nd time when he stood to gain(in his own mind) by lying. The answer to that question should not be hard to figure out.
This is a good example of how the truth can be skewed in this sort of reporting. Using the word “admits” implies that this version is, in fact, the truth. Using the phrase “now claims” is still a bit inflamatory in that just as the word “admits” implies what is now being said is the truth, the word “claims” implies, though to a lesser degree, that the original statement was the truth, but at least the phrase “now claims” is closer to giving both stories equal trust. I guess the most “fair” way to say it would be “now says”.
However, regardless of that, one must ask hypothetically what would have motivated him to lie the first time, and do the same regarding what would motivate him to lie the second time. To make such a transparent reversal implies VERY strong motivation. And yes, I am thinking along the lines of fear of harm of some sort.

Other than the ‘back off’ of talking to Abercrombie DIRECTLY Mike Evans really did not ‘back off’ anything else.

But Evans did NOT back off the content of what he either a) got directly from Abercrombie or b) had relayed to him through a worker at the office.
Actually if relay through a worker it would somewhat point to the fact of ‘common knowledge’ around the power players in Hawaii. Remember Tim Adams comment during an interview when he was told by a higher level supervisor - (paraphrasing) - “of course there is no birth certificate. What? You stupid.”
So it seems in Hawaii it is common knowledge - no birth certificate. Hence why Schatz did not sign an legally valid OCON for HDP.
How does he do such a turn around when he says, in the interview, that he spoke to Abercrombie in his office the other day? This guy ,Evans, has definitely been contacted by someone.
