Less than 24 hours after the breakdown of its nuclear dialogue with the six world powers in Istanbul, Iran announced plans Sunday, Jan. 23, to senda fleet of warships, including a home-made destroyer, on operational and intelligence-gathering missions to the Red Sea and on to the Mediterranean through the Suez Canal.

“breakdown of its nuclear dialogue”
Which was about as unexpected as night following day.
Except to democrats.
The mullahs understand only one thing: Ordnance on target.
Finally our guys have something to play with.
I suspect this has less to do with nuclear dialogue and much more to do with what is going on in Lebanon and Egypt.
With Egypt falling into KAOS the canal might be closed.
closed to us, not to Iran.
Signal of support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. So I pose the question again - when the next government topples as a result of food riots caused by our exporting of inflation, will thay take our embassy and hold whoever is left hostage, or is that too 70's?
There’s just something heart-warming about an Iranian war ship sinking in the sunset.
Iran wants Lebanon to be its colony... again?
Maybe a really big shark will bite it in half!
” including a home-made destroyer”?
I made a mini bike once. 5 hp side shaft briggs & stratten.
Why do I feel that lousy minibike is in the same league as this home made destoyer?
Sounds like a great place to sink them..
Well, that depends...
Was that lousy minibike photoshopped or real?
and they have flying carpets with chariots and a prophet who no longer is a fake murderous pedophile, and , and, and ..
Don’t underestimate the Persians. The concept of the destroyer as a naval vessel is 6-7 decades old and a country that’s capable of building a nuclear weapon is certainly capable of putting togther a reasonably functional destroyer. Iran is a very different place from the perspective of its capabilities than the Bedouin territories, religion notwithstanding.
Bringing it into the Med provides the perfect opportunity for, um, various adversaries to do some intelligence gathering of their own.
It’s probably going to look like rush hour with all of the curious-bystander submarine, surface and air traffic following them around...
