After another two years of this kenyan usurper and what the repeal of DADT will do to the Military... and after the debates start and America gets to see Sarah as Sarah and not some mslsd acid trip vision... things will change. I actually had people tell me that Reagan was a grade B actor... not qualified for office... even though he had been a governor... until the debates.

Why, because the illegals cost and the money rightfully belongs to the American citizen taxpayer will go to the illegals negating anything he as done. It will leave the American people again holding the bag.

For the life of me I can not wrap my mind around these guys that say they are fiscally conservative but socially liberal. It just flat doesn’t play.>

Like Sarah Palin, Chris Christie is for a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens.

It’s her voice and not what she says is my best guess, she has a higher twangy Fargoesque style and somewhat homesy delivery. Presidential disqualifying kind of stuff?

Sarah Palin's manner of speaking is reflective of how Alaskans talk. It is very much influenced by Alaska's Canadian neighbor. Has anyone checked out how Canadians talk? Each area of the country has their speaking dialect that should not be a reason for discrimination.

If anything, one should look at New Yorkers. I can hardly understand what they are saying.

Just don’t think she’ll win. She may actually be the preferred MSM candidate.

If the MSM thought she was a sure bet loss to the dems they would be talking about how "great" she is doing just like they did for McCain in 08.

If you are saying SP is for amnesty; just come out and say it. We need to know the real truth about our candidates or is it another polarizing lie about her or anyone else for that matter?

Baggage? What baggage?

That is my whole point with people who don’t think she can win, she has NO REAL BAGGAGE!! Made up stories, all of which to date have been disproven? Bogus ethics complaints? What else you got?

The one detraction of her resigning, which I’m sure she considered at the time, was a lack of office would take away her ability to use action to take the air out of alot of these bullhockey stories. When she gets in the race, she will regain that ability with policy proposals, not just statements.

She had to resign, it was the absolute politically right decision for herself and Alaska. This last 19 months has been about maintaining her political viability until she could realistically declare. One thing to keep in mind about the non stop attacks is that 1.) it’s been proven that political attacks by national media are coordinated with the white house directly and 2.) that Barack obama’s electoral strategy history has been to ELIMINATE opponents rather than face them. There is a reason for the attacks. The white house political operation focus groups must be showing that independents and conservative dem groups are responsive to the actual record palin has produced and that they would consider voting for her inspite of what they have heard so far. Thus the next piece of their strategy is to convince republican primary voters not to vote for her thru a variety of push polls, and baloney like this Todd palin story recently.

I just don’t think she’s going to run. Why should she? She is making all the money she wants

She wouldn't unless she felt she would serve a greater purpose than her own self interest and that is why I would support her.

But like everyone here, I want to hear clear and concise policy statements, and she would be foolish to reveal that too soon.

She will, I believe seek divine guidance, whether she receives it or not I can't say, but the Bible gave us tools to reason with, like.... By their fruits you shall know them.

?????

October 10, 2010

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/sarah-palin-americans-must-learn-from-reagans-mistakes-on-illegal-immigration/

"Palin was adamant that illegal immigrants should not be “rewarded the bad behavior” and continued along in this vein until O’Reilly stopped her, in a very similar manner to how he stopped Univisión anchor Jorge Ramos in a debate earlier this week, and asked for concrete reactions to the problem. Palin responded that she would like all illegal immigrants to register and that, in an ideal situation, “You deport them. You have to get them out of here.”

“We won’t complicate it any more. Let’s keep it simple and let’s say, ‘No, if you are here illegally and you don’t follow the steps that at some point through immigration reform we’re going to be able to provide, and that is to somehow allow you to work. If you’re not going to do that, you will be deported you will be gone.”

Ok, without cherry picking a PART of what she said and combining that with a Republican controlled House and a split (or controlled) Senate by 2012, where is the problem?

Currently there is no other pathway than the existing laws.

A amnesty bill must first go through the House and Senate. Not very likely now.

Until such pathway exists the way I read this is Sarah is saying rather plainly and with no embellishment "you will be deported."

She states her fist step is to "register" all the illegals, AS illegals.

That alone will put the fear in them, sending many back across the border, getting the attention of potential employers and will certainly send the communists into a foaming-at-mouth rage causing them to make mistakes. An "amnesty" such as what we were looking at with McCain is not in the cards.

My concern (among others) is this: Once she announces her life changes. Her handlers will put her in a straitjacket. The media will pounce on any little thing even things beyond her control. Lawsuits will fly. More spies will move up to Wasilla. They will send spies oto follow Bristol. Levi Johnston will offer up more crap on the Palins and then do a book deal or perhaps another Playgirl shoot. It will be a circus and a reality show. Vipers like Katie Couric will try to trip her up with gotcha questions. She will be walking into a minefield. Her dignity will be attacked. She will be treated like trailer trash. It is BECAUSE I lover her so much, I don’t want see her go through this. As much as the MSM loves and worships the divine BHO they hate and despise SP and will do everything imaginable to slime her and her family. They will not even spare Trig.

While I’m sure the possibility of becoming the first female POTUS is alluring, I truly don’t think she can win, and I’m not willing to be four more years of Obama on it.

What makes you think the Dims will run Bammy AGAIN?

I hope he pulls off some more bona fide, because to me he is very authentic.

Then you don't know him well. Plenty of links to Christie stuff on this thread, look into them.

We all love his stance with the unions, but he is much more than that.

Sarah Palin, like Chris Christie is for a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens. Both Palin and Christie deny that they are for amnesty. No matter how Palin and Christie spin it, a pathway to citizenship is amnesty.

Per Webster amnesty is the act of an authority by which pardon is granted to a large group of individuals. Pardon is defined as the release from the legal penalties of an offense. Deportation is the penalty for the offense of being an illegal alien, ergo not deporting is amnesty.

Sarah Palin denies she is for amnesty. Yet she is for a pathway to citizenship via 'registration'. No matter how you or Palin spin it a pathway to citizenship is amnesty.

Per Webster amnesty is the act of an authority by which pardon is granted to a large group of individuals. Pardon is defined as the release from the legal penalties of an offense. Deportation is the penalty for the offense of being an illegal alien, ergo not deporting is amnesty.

Talk about cherry picking what Palin said! Here are exact quotes from the Univision interview:
As governor, how do you deal with them? Do you think they all should be deported?
There is no way that in the US we would roundup every illegal immigrant -there are about 12 million of the illegal immigrants- not only economically is that just an impossibility but that's not a humane way anyway to deal with the issue that we face with illegal immigration.

Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants? No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They've got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

FYI, Three separate studies have shown the number of illegal aliens currently to be ~ 40 million, not 12 - 13 million.

Yep. Plays hardball to take away your constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
