What Obama should say: To honor Hernandez, pass gay rights legislation
Boston Globe ^ | 1/25/11 | Rob Anderson

Tonight's State of the Union provides President Obama with one of the easiest, yet high profile, chances to explain why Congress should pass gay rights legislation as soon as possible. Daniel Hernandez Jr., the heroic, openly gay intern who has been credited with saving the lives of Representative Gabrielle Giffords and others during the Tuscon massacre, will be seated in First Lady Michelle Obama's box as the president delivers his address.

The president, no doubt, will introduce Hernandez and thank him for his selfless actions earlier this month. But the Obamas' symbolic gesture will ring hollow unless the president asserts during his speech that gay and lesbians like Hernandez deserve the same rights as every other American — to work without fear of being fired because of their sexual orientation; to learn in safe and supportive educational environments; and to enjoy the rights of marriage.

AMEN! and dont forget the Poor Trinity Church Choir Director
who was confessing his Love with OBOZO to Larry Sinclair in the days before he was Assassinated! Chicago’s Finest tried to call it a Suicide, but they couldn’t pay the Coroner enough to go along with that bizarre a story! Then there was Obozo’s Granny that was tucked away and Disappeared conveniently Dead just a night before the Election! How Convenient!

I must have missed the meo - just WHAT did little Dannie do to save anyone?

I heard it was a Lt Col (Army type) that took down the shooter, and an ER doc that was on hand did the real work......

Did Dannie flap his hands and squeel, distracting the shooter?

Daniel Hernandez Jr., the heroic, openly gay intern

Is that what it says on the back of his cape - OPENLY GAY INTERN?

I suspected as much listening to him; just a bit to effeminate for me. He (and they) have as many rights as individuals as I do, including “domestic partnerships,” and don’t need to be granted the “right” to disgrace the special and binding relationship between a man and a woman called marriage.

In honor of all the godly heroes throughout history, slap the special rights for homosexuals down and expose it for the charade it is it once and for all. There’s no such a thing as “gay marriage” or honor in evil.

chances to explain why Congress should pass gay rights legislation as soon as possible.

Well, fine. Does that also mean Congress should do tribute to Judge John Roll and enact pro-Catholic legislation as soon as possible? After all, he actually laid down his life to save someone else—pushing under the table one of the Congresswoman's aides who had been wounded, and getting fatally shot himself in the man's place.

I say that in Roll's honor we replace the entire EPA with one copy of the Catechism of the Council of Trent, just for starters.

That’s incredibly logical, Mr. Boston Globe. Just because the intern happens to be homosexual, we should force the radical homosexual agenda down the throats of all God-fearing Americans who are the true heroes of our civilization.

Daniel Hernandez Jr., the heroic, openly gay intern . . .

What in Hell does Daniel Hernandez' sexuality have to do with the shooting in Arizona? Does this mean that a non-homo wouldn't have acted similarly? This is completely despicable IMHO.
