The TEA Party needs to fight for recognition as a movement outside the squishy GOP. Ryan isn't squishy. He deserves to have the focus on him. Bachmann's move seems a little self-serving to me, but hey, that's politics for ya.
And anyway, here I thought the tea party was a leaderless grass roots movement. Bachmann doesn't speak for the tea party. She's just another elected Republican.
