So guys who support Palin or Bachmann are simply thinking with their little heads? Pretty damning accusation...go ahead and make your case.

I challenge you to find any person who is unattractive and/or male, who has received anything like the unquestioning devotion heaped upon the likes of Palin, Bachmann, O'Donnell, and a few others.... well, I guess there was Ross Perot....

Nor are you likely to find threads on other politicians, that routinely include flattering pictures of that person, nor comments about how attractive that person is -- expressed, moreover, as something of a recommendation for higher office.

One must also note that there is often a fierce protectiveness about Ms. Palin, especially, that seems oddly placed for a politician who is expected to play hardball ... and I think it's because she's female.

While you're at it, why don't you defend what appears to be your misogynist tendencies?

It's hardly "misogynist" to judge a candidate based on record, achievements, and demonstrated mastery of both issues and ideas. And on those counts, Sarah Palin is not much more impressive than Obama (she just plays to a different choir).

So, how to explain the ardent support given to these women? By this point, it seems appropriate to apply a healthy cynicism about motives; and to be quite honest, it's difficult to imagine that they'd enjoy the same support if they were unattractive.

When you accuse others of viewing women through an exclusively sexual lens, you seem to be projecting.

Just calling it like I see it.

I think looks have plenty to do with it. Yet, if Palin or Bachmann were poor speakers, lazy thinkers or afraid of their opponents, they’d never get the attention they get. You can be Miss America, but if you can’t back it up the way Palin and Bachmann do, it just wouldn’t matter.

Bogus proposition...show me some libs who get support here because of their looks.

Sure, they're attractive...but there are much more attractive people in the world.

Kirstin Gillibrand doesn't have a lot of threads here promoting a candidacy, does she?

And Scott Brown...his support here was nuanced at best.

I think the posting of the pictures is a game, a sideline...their attractiveness is not demonstrably a reason for their support. You don't do yourself any credit by alleging so, and you betray your own mindset. That's usually what happens when someone claims to be a mind reader...

There's another politician who got this kind of support, RR, who was an old man at the time. Bachman and Palin are the only conservative politicians who are out there kicking donkey and taking names, while avoiding sounding like kooks.

Bachmann spoke up for Tea Partiers, said what's on our minds; Palin made Obammy's high sounding "Win the Future" talking point the punch line it should be...and it's not the first time, it's the most recent of many examples.

They are the most effective conservative politicians today...if anything, Bachmann is nice looking, but not hot...and Palin is a middle aged mom.

That's another reason I identify you as a troll, or a faux conservative at best. You don't want to debate the issues...but even a faux conservative would be right on more issues than you.
