The debate over Emanuel’s eligibility hinges on the nearly two years Emanuel spent working in the Obama White House and the fact that he rented out his Chicago house. Oops. The author forgot the biggest one of all: Emanuel claimed to not be an Illinois (and thus not a Chicago) resident on his Illinois income tax form to reduce his taxes. He either didn't plan on running for mayor or didn't realize that there was a one-year residency requirement. Move back and try again in 2015.
