Kenyan-born Obama all set for US Senate
Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.
The allegations that horrified fellow Republicans and caused his once-promising candidacy to implode in four short days have given Obama a clear lead as Republicans struggled to fetch an alternative.
Ryans campaign began to crumble on Monday following the release of embarrassing records from his divorce. In the records, his ex-wife, Boston Public actress Jeri Ryan, said her former husband took her to kinky sex clubs in Paris, New York and New Orleans.

“Its clear to me that a vigorous debate on the issues most likely could not take place if I remain in the race,” Ryan, 44, said in a statement. “What would take place, rather, is a brutal, scorched-earth campaign the kind of campaign that has turned off so many voters, the kind of politics I refuse to play.”
Although Ryan disputed the allegations, saying he and his wife went to one avant-garde club in Paris and left because they felt uncomfortable, lashed out at the media and said it was “truly outrageous” that the Chicago Tribune got a judge to unseal the records.
The Republican choice will become an instant underdog in the campaign for the seat of retiring Republican Senator Peter Fitzgerald, since Obama held a wide lead even before the scandal broke.
“I feel for him actually,” Obama told a Chicago TV station. “What hes gone through over the last three days I think is something you wouldnt wish on anybody.”
The Republican state committee must now choose a replacement for Ryan, who had won in the primaries against seven contenders. Its task is complicated by the fact that Obama holds a comfortable lead in the polls and is widely regarded as a rising Democratic star.
The chairwoman of the Illinois Republican Party, Judy Topinka, said at a news conference, after Ryan withdrew, that Republicans would probably take several weeks to settle on a new candidate.
“Obviously, this is a bad week for our party and our state,” she said.
As recently as Thursday, spokesmen for the Ryan campaign still insisted that Ryan would remain in the race. Ryan had defended himself saying, “Theres no breaking of any laws. Theres no breaking of any marriage laws. Theres no breaking of the Ten Commandments anywhere.”

8-1-1961 in the us is most likely august 1, 1961
I read that date as August 1, 1961 which he may have viewed as close enough for government work. I know the January date would fit your thesis better and further, the fact that his 8-1 date is off the 8-4 date might make you think he is using a Euro dating convention.
He is really not smart enough to pull this off and keep all the balls in the air at the same time.
Interesting how the date on that document matches up quite nicely with his slip about the Bay of Pigs.
That would put the immaculate conception in April 1960 before Ann graduated from high school in Washinton. That also adds substance to the theory the Dunhams made the mad rush to Hawaii to hide the pregnancy and why Ann suddenly didn’t attend college as planned in Washington with her Mercer Island friends.
King Obama claims Ann was an au pair in Chicago. If true, then it would have had to have been the summer of ‘60. Shipping her off to Davis would also fit in the hiding the pregnancy. But then it all falls apart with her attending the U of H fall semester ‘60. Unless, of course, things weren’t working out and the Dunhams brought her home.
It would also be an explaination of why he’s a head taller than his elementary school classmates.
However, there’s still that nagging question of, “Who’s yer daddy?” Davis? Malcolm X? A Mercer Island pool boy? Whomever he was, he certainly wasn’t the patsy, O Sr.
No, the record says "08-01-1961," which, if you're a civilian working in the county clerk's office, is August 1st, 1961 (which is still at odds with August 4th, the usual birthdate given).
Of course, if it WAS January 8, 1961, that presents new problems and casts doubt that Barack Obama, Sr. was his dad (and face it, one of the oddities is that the “son” does not much resemble photos of the “father”). IIRC, Stanley Ann Dunham and Barack, Sr. met in August of 1960, making a January birth impossible.
What are the details, I can't remember the story around this document.
Thanks.
