The new Republican House majority leader says he doesn't think questions about President Barack Obama's citizenship should play a role in the discussion of policy matters.
Two years into the Obama administration, so-called birthers continue to argue that Obama isn't a natural-born citizen and that he hasn't proved he's constitutionally qualified to be president. Birth records in Hawaii haven't dissuaded them.
House Majority Leader Eric Cantor says he believes Obama is a citizen and that most Americans are beyond that question.

Miss jamese, as usual you spew lies around like your dear Fuehrer is spreading around the "wealsth"(?). There has NEVER been any ruling whatsoever about natural born citizen. You are nothing but a simple QUISLING in FINO's clothing aka TROLL like TNTNT!!!
Theresa Cao took them all to the wood-shed, so there is NO excuse, except for the lack of spine and especially cojones. They are scared to death because the are enablers!!!
But then you have the sorry ass of a parrot, miss jamese???
Maybe you should delete the “EX” from your tag-name!!!
Actually up in northern Sweden, when the harvest of new potatoes in summertime, surstromming is considered a “delicatessen” by some, but it has to consumed by help of lots of Snaps and Beers. I served on a ship where the Swedes tried to persuaded me a try. As very young and inexperienced I had to throw up immediately and even some coming out of my nose, yakking. Go figure!!!
Wealth!!!
I am a USA citizen born in USA. My older brother was a USA citizen born in the USA. Both of us served in the US Army WWII. My brother lies in the Punch Bowl, killed on Okinawa. Our parents were not USA citizens. Neither of us was eligible for POTUSA, even though I thought so in grade school. We both loved the USA through the depression days. Yes I am very protective of the distinction between ‘citizen’ and ‘natural born citizen’.

You may be right for all I know.
We can certainly see what comes from being exposed to other cultures as an impressionable kid at the very least.
You can’t even spell; Israel. Don’t try to spell antisemite
it was hidden in there somewhere, sorry. I didn’t write it. I’m not anti-Israel. I’m just pro-America
I agree that the reporters know there is something going on but I don’t buy that they’re afraid of violence!
They are afraid of the facts coming out that will show how badly they abdicated their journalistic responsibilities both in the way they shilled for Obama and in the way they have continued to ignore this issue.
Personally, I’d love to see Katie Couric, Chris Matthews, David Gregory, et all have to go the way of Dan Rather....forever tainted and disgraced!
They certainly don’t want their fundraisinging and politicking to take a backseat to working, do they.
It is not good enough for any thinking person.
You're right, the Constitution doesn't say anything about birth certificates and so a state could presumably come up with some different kind of test. Maybe a state could require that a candidate produce a live witness who can testify that he/she was present at the birth and observed the child often enough thereafter that he/she is certain that the candidate is the same person he/she saw being born. But, who can pass that test?
I don't think the Full Faith & Credit clause requires the use of birth certificates, but if they are used, I believe that a state will have to accept the certificate recognized by the issuing state as a public record.
Wouldn't it be easier for the House of Representatives to just subpoena the Hawaiian records?
Brilliant post butterzillion.
I was just searching for who checks the eligibility qualifications of U.S. Senators. I should have known it was the U.S Senate itself.
According to some sources, the process was not rigorously enforced in the early days and many ineligible ‘Senators’ slipped through.
Do you or anyone else know how this vetting process is done in the Senate today? What Committee, etc. -— are they required to keep records?
If they are required to keep records, I’d be curious as to what Obongo used as identification for his age and citizenship. You’d think after 9/11, a Marxist noob from corrupt Chicago with a name like Barack Hussein Obama would have recieved a little extra scrutiny from a ‘Republican’ held Senate. [Probably not]
FOIA.....pipe dream?
Where’the BEEF!
IF the truth ever comes out about THE 1 and it’s proven that he’s not a NBC, then we can add Boehner’s and Cantor’s names to those who were willing participants in the most massive fraud ever in US history. Pelosi and Reid are already on that list as well as the members of the SCOTUS that refuse to even look at the issue. Every one of them may be dead by the time the truth comes out but they will be stained by the fact that all aided and abetted the worst person ever to hold the office of POTUS.

I figure that’s exactly what they wanted, and that they laughed for days. ;)
